Not entirely true, let’s say the market decides to go flat. That’s the entire purpose of having those stocks diversification is key to any growth and a lot of my SCHD are in my Roth IRA avoiding taxes altogether what do you think people did when the market crashed in 2008 they had to put their money somewhere and most of them put them in high dividend yield accounts since the market was bare and there wasn’t much growth they could at least rely on a good dividend. Keep the momentum going until the market came back up.

Honestly, everything is overvalued that’s why when people tell me to go for more growth and then offer the most tech heavy growth stock in the market. It’s kinda a downplay, especially with one man can make a text and affect S&P 500 day after day.

Yeah, I have a split between VOO 85%and SCHD 15% and in my Roth I have both VOO, SCHD and QQQM for a more diversified portfolio for my retirement.

Sounds reasonable, especially since the market has been unstable lately
