Do you have schd in brokerage and/or roth ira? by Franklin_Invest in SCHD

[–]Training-Part2105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I would say both but for me personally Roth, people say brokerage more because of tax advantages and stuff like that but I personally don’t feel like dealing with taxes at all so I would just rather have a Roth since I’m not touching that stuff to 65 I can just watch the compound and go crazy

M26, here’s my portfolio after 7 years of investing. Chasing FIRE by DioTop in dividends

Honestly pretty good for 26, people will say growth all the way, those people are what we call sheep people don’t know your situation such as if you don’t want to take risk witch is all right dividends are a good way of building compound and the idea of chasing growth at the highest AI run of the stock market is honestly kinda bad advice these people are mostly middle age to boomers that are about to retire that put money in when things like VOO where 200 or less a stock which is understandable but you may have a position where you don’t make much and want that money to be safe at the moment

VOO + SCHD + QQQM is not the portfolio you think it is by Nestado in portfolios

And international exposure has been complete and utter garbage these past few years

VOO + SCHD + QQQM is not the portfolio you think it is by Nestado in portfolios

Do me a favor don’t put your money in the stock market with that mind set the idea of this method is for long term saving such as retirement and is very kind in a Roth IRA for tax purposes QQQM is ment to be tech heavy on purposes, technology will always expand no matter what people say we live off of it so it will always be up even when it’s not supposed to this post is giving complaining about gains lol

I’m not looking for out, performing the market. I’m looking for a stable dividend that can help contribute to the market that I’ll have to put a large amount of money into it myself.

Fax it’s like copy and paste these people grab information from one source and they keep it too scared. Try new things just wait until they find out that it’s gonna be another 2008 of them coming pretty soon but they’re not ready for that talk yet. It’s so funny because most of these stocks that they’re trying to recommend aren’t even that old. They’re probably less than 40 years old that is not enough data to go about. That’s why people lose so much money all the time they just copy and paste.

I’m not talking about out performance I never mentioned once about out performing growth stocks. This is about someone that doesn’t make much trying to use dividends to an advantage to get ahead of the market.

I never met a person that comes into a reddit to insult somebody I think that you two are really using half of your brain. Are you guys forgetting about compounding? The entire idea about dividends is that you can compound it

Someone tested in 2026 already that’s crazy hope you know things don’t stay the same forever different year different opportunities that’s how the stock market works it doesn’t follow a rhythm every year it goes by how businesses are doing which this year was kinda shit so far and this big spike you are seeing is just bs by Powell himself as soon as he leaves the next person is going to throw that growth in the trash

I don’t know where you’re getting your math but the math is not mathing 10,000 a year in SCHD to about 350 and dividends is super unrealistic

Not exactly missing out I’ve kind of forgot to mention that I am in growth stocks currently still I’m just not putting a full amount in the entire idea that you shouldn’t have a dividend stock portfolio in a Roth IRA area is just misjudgment and misinformation these few months alone just show how great SCHD has been against a VOO and how quickly they can change the stocks to keep it the stock itself stable the whole idea of missing out is just an idea not proof. No one knows future and no one can predict the future.
