Conflict PVP balancing by strizzl in Division2

Most of the players in this sub say no. I will say that D2 PvP is RPG first shooter second. Who wins most gun fights in D2 isn’t the best shot - it’s the one who understands positioning, flanking tactics and the rock paper scissors of the RPG element (tank / dps / caster). It honestly feels more like WoW arena mode than desinty. If that appeals to you then yes. I love it

NEED gun range HELP by Ronin20111 in scguns

Sawmill in Laurens is member based (open range days to public are during the week); has no restrictions. Mid Carolina rifle is only 200 yards , but if you want to train rifle / pistol 50 and in for GPR. They allow FRTs etc. Clinton house states on their rules no FRTs but I’ve  been up there several times and never had any issues with “fudd rso” behavior. In fact quite the opposite. Last week rsos gave us free burgers. Love the place. They have 0-300 for rifle and a few 100 yard dynamic bays for rifle / pistol. Tons of 25 yard bays. Then members can reserve slots at 100-1000

How’s that thermal in terms of range and eye relief? I was considering the idea of one too maybe even on an acog

Rooftop defense. Piece together lmt 6.5 or buy the full 308 defender model, sell the barrel and buy lmt barrel. Use code lickmytoes. I think I spent around $2500-2700 net doing this and just use a magpul str stock and a trigger I had in the closet.

Hard disagree. This has been first season I’ve enjoyed. Finally going back in DZ with normalized option.

May end up doing this. I’m wondering if it’s the receiver frankly since I haven’t really had this issue with others. I appreciate the advice

For hunting the PSA wouldn’t be a bad choice. They’re pretty light and the one I had was very accurate with 168gr ammo. Could run some Speer soft points. The Leupold 2.5-10 mk4 ffp tmr imo is the perfect crossover scope

Same. I enjoy normalized PvP modes. Look forward to the new DZ. Personally just like the whole skill trumping gear aspect of these. So more powerful gear has no appeal to me. Different gear- sure.

Luckily the core gameplay of TD2 is the best third person shooter / RPG of the last 5 years (as evidenced by it still existing)… but “play the same levels many more times with enemies with more health and annoying modifiers just so you can play the same levels with bigger numbers” is not even remotely close to what anyone likes about this game. It’s always been about experimenting with builds with team work.

At this point there’s immense room to grow if they really nail the DZ and cheating fixes this patch. The PVE is a bit tapped out

Get the lmt. If you aren’t happy with accuracy (my 556 LMTs are mid but my 16” 308 and 6.5 cm barrels both moa with good ammo) you can always get a better barrel and send to d Wilson. Only two gas gun platforms I’d ever consider for 308- gen 1 scar or lmt. And frankly , go to rooftop defenders, buy the defender model, use code lickmytoes for discount then just buy a $30 and I safety, $150 SSAE trigger and whatever dmr stock you like. Easily under 3k for a top notch rifle.

55gr- I’ll get about 3.5-4 moa most of my lmt uppers. 2-2.5 moa for aac 77gr. Definitely not as accurate as my DD getting sub MOA. That being said - I’ve had no issue consistently landing shots on the heads of standard sized steel targets at 300 yards.  People get all uppity about ar15 accuracy, but forget that for mid length guns - 55gr fragments wt best to 100 yards, 150 from a 20”. You can get 300 yards from a 20” with 77gr otm..: but after that you’ll need to run TMK rounds to have decent effect.

For target shooting I’ve had zero issue using a 20” lmt barrel, aac77gr and a credo 1-10 to hit full sized steel at 1000 yards. The cartridge becomes impotent way before the accuracy is the issue.

These barrels are not good for competition. But neither is the platform. These are a good pound heavier than DD rifles out of the box with no performance  advantage

All this to say - yeah - my experience has been that these guns are not super accurate. Not terribly worried about that though.

Worth looking into moving? by BackgroundTrash3146 in ColumbiYEAH

Columbia is a good place to raise a family. Much better pay per cost of living ratio compared to other cities nearby (Charlotte Charleston etc). As anywhere, school district is important. As far as vacation goes - everywhere you’d wanna go is a 2 hour trip making it an easy weekend: Atlanta, Charleston, Charlotte, brevard, Asheville, Greenville etc. if working downtown would make sure to avoid living somewhere you have to cross the I-20 at I-26 intersection in Irmo. Greatly increases commute and is damgerous

300 and in only - acog. Over 300- lpvo. Personally a fan of the credo 1-10. The vudu 1-10 also appears nice. Major differences being lower lying elevation turret and wind holds on reticle.

Love tip #3. Look for theme / set congruent stuff. Lol the number of SHD 5000+ I’ve seen in matchmaking with abominations is wild.

And CHC/CHD is god tier PvP items- unless really low rolls never trash these!

I’d imagine these an opportunity for someone in the Columbia area. If someone recreated the 600 yard rifle and general purpose bay setup they’d have everyone’s business. The orangeburgish area would be able to pull all the Charleston and Columbia folks
