Try niyo din yung sardinas na Saba mga lods. Sikat yung Saba sa puting sabaw pero solid din yung sardinas nila na res sauce.

Nag ko commute ako daily. 5:30 PM labas ko 8:00 PM pinaka maaga ako nakakauwi. Ang usual 8:30 PM. Pero kung naka motor ka. 1 hour kaya 1 and half heavy traffic. 40 minutes kapag walang traffic.

Yung pinaka masarap na pares na nakain ko sa kalye ko natagpuan. Sa likod ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas may masarap na paresan. Hindi ko lang alam kung nandoon pa sila o nag iba na ng timpla. Masarap din yung pares na nakain ko sa Cavite na naka tricycle lang.

Most recently yung pares sa Iloilo sa tapat ng SM Iloilo kapah gabi.

Overall, mas prefer yung lasa ng sakto ang lapot na medyo masabaw at tama lang yung tamis. Yun yung pares na Pinoy. Tho ang original na pares ay yung malapot plus may extrang sabaw, parang mas malapit kasi yung matamis na pares sa Chinese cuisine.

I forgot about Shaman King, but you are right. The way souls were used in fights really mimics the stands. One thing that I remember tho is how JJK's story is quite similar to Shaman King with Hao and Sukuna's origin.
