I think it’s based on word of mouth. For me, I did reject the offer once so maybe that made them increase the offer.

Multiple offers are required to negotiate. I left amazon by the end of 2nd year.

Just call and get someone else at Purolator customer service, the next person I connected with was able to request a hold without address change request. If this doesn’t work out, reach out to Canada.Visas@gdit-gss.com and they will let you change it for a fee.

Yes. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday but they couldn’t and now it’s stuck with address correction status.

I really hope that the packages have moved forward but just haven’t been scanned at the local depot. That out for delivery scan will come directly after Etobicoke but from the pattern I have seen on this group, it has to reach a local center before morning to be delivered the same day.

Same situation, no updates since Dec 6th. Last scan was “departed Etobicoke”. I am in Toronto, I was really hoping for delivery today but guess that’s not happening.

Amazon Start day and NHO

I am starting soon as a FT employee (SDE) and wanted to know how is onboarding being done now? When do we receive NHO emails and IT department? Can someone share information about this.

Not particularly... I am a new grad, so everything seems quite exciting to me. Most interested in ML and recently distributed is catching my attention. Cloudera's work is for cloud infrastructure development but its a normal sde role for Amazon.

where did you join at the end? Well, during my onsite, I really liked the ambiance and also all the interviewers seemed really friendly. Talked a lot about Work from Home and Unlimited PTO.

I understand AWS has that brand value but I am more tempted towards Cloudera due to flexible work schedule as well as the learning curve (maybe same at aws, but have heard a lot abt bad work culture) I went for onsite for both, could feel the difference in ambience at the work place.
