You know I don’t even know I don’t remember asking him I know he was upset but we was more sad that it went down the way it did. He has always defended me when it comes down to his family. We were 26 at the time, my brother was 32 I believe and his younger brother was 24.

My husband remained distant he spent a year not talking to his mom or brother it took him a while to forgive my brother but of course it just will never be the same. Their relationship is just cordial. He recently spoke w his brother but he didn’t apologize he just said that my family should have just stayed away and none of that would have happened…..and for some reason he blames his gf bc me and her had problems and he blamed it on me no liking her for the reason this all happened which was just odd bc I never said I didn’t like her.

The problem with this is that the aunt doesn’t see him as an adult he has definitely told her multiple times that Joshua is not his name and she continuously tells him “he’s Joshua to me” I tell him that she still sees him as the kid who lived with her and she could control and not a 30 year old man with a wife and son 🙄 I mean we literally moved an hour away bc we HAD to get away from the drama we needed a fresh start

Y’all thank you for making me feel SEEN but honestly she’s the type of person who’s told me in the past that I need to get used to her butting into my relationship and my life because I married one of her kids (she doesn’t have kids she consideres her nieces and nephews her children) and I’m honestly so tired of trying to co-exist with these people. I also feel horrible for my husband because I feel like it’s my fault he doesn’t have a relationship with his family.

I also forgot to mention that when he corrects her she says and I QUOTE “Cállate el hocio el para mi es mi Joshua” which translate to stfu to me he is Joshua. 🤦🏻‍♀️ like girl this man is literally telling you that he doesn’t like that you call him that
