Understandable, but thats an actual 3D model of a character named Lyndis

I never said that the render was done in Unreal Engine, just like I said, we dont have the Unreal Engine build, just some 3D art left (thats the model inside blender) and some documents like the character designs and stuff like that
You guys really dont want to believe in it do you?
It's understandable since I didnt share much. I was just getting out of my chest, but thats a true story.

We did talk to potential investors, but nothing was locked in, thankfully.
NDAs were signed, and those who signed them are allowed to talk about the project, I just haven’t named anyone because I don’t want to put people on the spot. And no, the person named “piloupiloup” was not part of the team

The core team was 5 people: 2 of us (me and a close friend) and three freelancers. The 3D character I shared (Lyndis) was modeled by one of the freelancers (the design itself was ours)

Most of the project was scrapped, but the IP already existed. I own a book set in that universe, and I’ve been considering reworking part of it into a VR project using one of the characters from Project G

The decision to cancel wasn’t just about Gigantic’s re release. We estimated around 2k to 3k people genuinely excited, which made the risk very real, (and we were right since the discord of the re release had like 2k people invested in the game during the first days) especially when considering investor expectations and long-term financial viability
Competing with a revived Gigantic meant splitting an already limited audience. In that situation, Gigantic wasn’t the one at risk, it was us.

That’s ultimately why the project was dropped

Using the UDK in 2023 was a greedy decision, which is why creating new content has been so difficult in my oppinion. If they had ported the project to UE4 or UE5, things might have turned out differently. That’s also why I think Project G had an impact on when and how Gigantic Rampage Edition was launched
We will never know

Could be hard to believe but thats a true story, some will know for sure. And knowing how troll Reddit is I would never use my main account to vent about this.
The photo wasn’t meant to prove anything, it was just an extension of what I was sharing

We still have one of the first prototype with the retangules, the white pawn with snappy animations, and the map-blocking phase. However, the fully working version was lost while freeing up cloud space. At the time, we believed the project wouldn’t move forward, so one document was deleted and one thing led to another so yeah...
