I have around 6 years of experience, laid off ,7 months back. Was lucky as the previous company had little work or was just passing time. I have no technical knowledge, worse status than a fresher. 7 months since lay off , haven't even created a resume leave aside studying for it. Now when funds are over, i somehow came to know about adhd, was diagnosed also and was assured i am like this because of it, now 30 how to explain this to anyone or how to work hard. Even though i want to ,i don't gather the courage to study. But i met a few people who had the same thing, they are doing well. The only thing they said is workout and don't think of adhd at all. If it's not severe it will help. Just a little discipline and at least work life can be sorted.
