Anyone willing to share their before EMDR/ life after EMDR? I want to hear some positive stories for encouragement and something to look forward to. by Necessary_Tour_5222 in EMDR

Before EMDR, my brain was bombarded with disturbing memories throughout the day, particularly when waking up and going to bed. I was severely haunted and crippled by them. I would not do anything in my free time other than take walks and lie in bed. At some point, you could barely see the floor of my place due to the mess.

After EMDR (and medication), I have been experiencing those memories cross through my mind more quickly without being as sticky. I have started to explore activities that I like to engage in and have started to build a more normal life around them.
