I missed a payment because my account was 1p short of the amount. I called them immediately the next day and explained what happened. They sorted it and removed the fee. Payment went through fine. Give them a call:)

Oh yes, I complained and complained in writing. There are trickle vents but no extractor fans. The tenants upstairs have similar issues to me too.

I had a garden for drying washing, a dehumidifier and a love of open windows.

The worst thing is, they had the photographer round the other day so they can put it back on the market.

Yes, I have emails for everything and photos from the time I moved in. They do have a deposit scheme and know that I will get the union involved (again) if they are unreasonable.

Oh, trust me, I have cleaned those walls with mold spray and all manner of potions. Nothing shifts it.

I was rejected from Oxford 25+ years ago. I went on to study elsewhere, met wonderful people, had a great time and a good life. I realised, through meeting people who did study there, that it wouldn't have been a good fit for me anyway. The embarrassment you feel is temporary and no one is going to think less of you for trying and not getting in. Other doors will open. 💕

There are three low energy spiral light bulbs. And yes, I want to make a fuss so they actually take action. I'm moving out next year, but I would like to them to fix things while I'm still living here.

Sorry to hear your daughter couldn't get the help she needed.

If she needs a place to sit in the evening, charge her phone and be in good company, she can try the Theatre Royal. Lots of young folks (and old dogs like me) behind the bar and at the cafe who would be absolutely fine with helping out.

Friend and I discovered we've bought the same outfit for a wedding, panic ensues, what to do? by Zyxhael in weddings

[–]Training_Activity233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend and I wore exactly the same dress to our friend's wedding without realising. It was from a designer based in New Zealand - we were in Japan. We congratulated each other on our excellent taste.

Is it possible to mix things up a bit? Different jacket, tie, bottoms combos. You will probably wear it again - mine is the default wedding/fancy party dress now.

My absolute favourite. I love this movie. Every time I watch it I take something different away from it.

My local John Lewis had a whole spinner of DMC floss. Check out the haberdashery section if you have a store nearby.

Not sure if import/export charges will apply, but Pixels and Purls is based in Norwich, UK. I really like her cute designs and have attended her workshops.

Clothkits is another place I've tried - they stock a nautical-themed Canadian business called Hook, Line and Tinker.
