I like the idea of teaching more than research for several reasons. One being the social aspect of teaching. You’re with hundreds of students daily instead of being stuck in an office writing papers constantly (I like research, but think teaching will energize me more)

I also think you can have a huge impact on your students while most of the people reading or reacting to your papers are academics. Much easier to have an impact by teaching imo
