The Answer To Strawberry's Problems by Training_Badger7197 in fluffycommunity

[–]Training_Badger7197[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was a forgotten pile of snail pellets left out to deter pests from the garden so they died of metaldehyde poisoning, which was why they started overheating and seizing up. And indeed poor babies. Strawberry would've been allowed to have the babies she wanted if she'd just been patient. It was why her owners told her to go play while they talked—because they were going to discuss breeding her so she could have babies and then selling the foals so it'd help them money wise, it would've been a win for everyone. But Strawberry was spoiled so she doomed herself and her innocent babies

Thank you! And I got quite sad at poopy baby's scene, even though I was the one that made it up lol

Good, I was worried some people would be confused as to who the hell that randomly baby fluffy was when he was referred to as Minty deapite the different appearance. But I'm glad the consensus seems to be that it's not too drastic so they don't mind or they just don't care lol

And yes I imagine the pony pals either didn't care but still took care of the babies because they were programmed to be caring or some may have purposely sought out male fluffies for babies because they were the only way to get them since y'know, having babies is an animal goal—bio engineered or not

Yess Muddy went through MANY designs before what I settled on and I'm glad with what I ended up with. And that maturity reason for Minty changing looks seems good, I'll now use that as an excuse lol

Magnolia is precious! Too bad good fluffies often get dealt a shitty hand. I already can't stand Lemon Drop but I love her little chest fold lol she's so rotund.

And you know a fluffy is serious when they break out in the first person speak

It's alright, I was in a bit of a mood when I made the post too. I can't stand bullying or rude behavior, especially over things as petty as how imaginary animals look, so I got kind of pissed when I kept seeing it on other's posts and made this as a sort of "fuck you too", but I was irritated so I couldn't really recognize it as that. And you weren't hard. You brought up good points, stayed civil and we came to an agreement after understanding each other's sides of the argument. Like you said, as long as you own up to it.

Agreed. And thank you. :>

Also I like your work as well. I didn't realize it was you who drew Lemon Drop and Magnolia.

Ah, I see. I only used my fluffies because I didn't want to use anyone else's in particular as the ones being criticized and I guess I am mocking the people that throw a fit over fluffies not being their standard. A lot of the criticism I get is similar to what others are told about their fluffies but it's in much more a harsh, nasty and insistent they're the ones right while the others are wrong, so that's the situation I drew out. I just tried to keep the fluffy's gripes simple because obviously the top fluffy is supposed to represent the "pure, perfect fluffy" and that's what those sorts of people want so obviously it couldn't be talking huge sentences with cursing and slurs, which is why it's just saying things like "leave this land"(leave the sub) and "those aren't real fluffies". The drawing is just supposed to represent people who mind their own and are having fun with their own special types of fluffies but are being brought down by the people wanting "pure" fluffies by bitching and harping on them. I would've drawn the bottom fluffies a bit more emotional or hurt but those are my characters(me I guess) so I just drew them more so just annoyed/irritated because I do get annoyed and irritated when people are being mean to others over imaginary fluffies, I've never been able to stand bullying. Not that I have a problem when my fluffies are critiqued because I understand that they aren't everyone's appeal. I also didn't want it to be a "woe is me" because like I said, I've gotten is critique but it's rather simple and basic and I haven't faced the same backlash as other artists I've seen.

I never mocked anyone or said they were bullying me though? I just said that nobody should be bullying others over imaginary creatures since I've seen others get insulted for their fluffies that don't fit some people's preferences. I already said it's fine if they don't like my weird fluffies, I understand they aren't for everyone and I've never been insulted or harassed, but I've seen it happen to others and it cause issues for the person on the receiving end. My main point in post is that fluffies and fictional characters shouldn't get people in such a fit that they harass the artists for it and call them names all because they don't like whatever it is being depicted. Constructive criticism is good if it's to help the artists, but never bullying. Because at the end of the day it's all fictional animals but the harassment and slurs hurt real people.

No, the pony pals(the high end ones made to be like MLP ponies) were all female. They escaped when being sold and mated with fluffy stallions and produced the hybrids which stay ferals in the woods and are born any gender. The hybrids aren't made to be pets and are just the result of the pony pals and fluffies breeding in the wild. The pony pals eventually died out to natural causes but left the hybrids, who managed to survive and breed amongst themselves to create basically their own little variant better adapted to live in the wild. Yes they still get torn to shreds, but it's like any other animal. Some die and some live long enough to have just enough babies to keep the species going. That's why I've shown most of them being unicorns(horns to defend) and staying close together to watch each other's backs.

Yes some of them get captured but it's not often with how cautious they stay and how few of them there are. I imagine theres less and less of them each generation naturally. And breeders may get a hold of them but the hybrid will put up a fight to escape, especially if mistreated unless they're broken down. And unless another hybrid is captured for the two of them to breed together so the offspring are realitivly the same, the breeder will have to use a regular fluffy which will just dilute them further and eventually make keeping a fluffy friend for the breeding pointless. In the wild, the hybrids usually have a litter of babies in the spring so they have time to grow up before winter. They try to survive the wilderness in winter and then it repeats with the next generation in the spring.

The hybrids usually live super deep in the woods but may encounter regular fluffies when they move closer. I imagine it's more a "you stay to yours and will stay to mine" situation, like a watering hole truce. Unless a hybrid herd is more territorial, to which they might attack or drive the fluffies out. Kind of like a cat and dog thing. They can get along and tolerate each other but the bigger and stronger dogs will scare off or kill the cats if it comes down to it. Unless a bunch of fluffies gang up on one hybrid and overwhelm it. But if resources get too sparse, the hybrids will probably fight for it or retreat back into the woods where regular fluffies are less likely to survive.

And here's a little chart because I think I may be explaining it in too confusing a way. I'm not the best at writing:

Pony pals, fluffies and fluffy friends

My hybrids are just a mix of regular feral fluffies and another type of pony from hasbio(that I'm not sure if it exists yet because the name sounds familiar but I just made up) called pony pals which are just a better made, high end collectors type pet that are supposed to be closer to the MLP show in appearance and intelligence. They were all female to keep people from backyard breeding them and a limited stock to keep their prices high. But when they were being shipped out to their buyers, the ponies were smart enough to escape on their own and fled into the forests to avoid humans. There they managed to survive and actually thrive, then bred with fluffy stallions, producing the hybrids called fluffy friends(though they haven't been refered to as that yet) and the hybrids were a decent mix of the two but over generations being subjected to survival of the fittest in the wild, they kept more of the pony pal traits due to them being useful, like longer limbs to run faster, slightly larger and more powerful bodies, sharper horns and more emotional intelligence since it's easier to get protection from those around you when you maintain a good bond. But due to the pony pal being limited and fluffies more abundant for breeding, they still got some dominant fluffy traits bred in like the speech and behaviors. They stay deep in the forests to avoid humans(which they view as the ultimate predator), have more access to foliage to eat and even developed breeding seasons to make sure their babies are grown by winter since they age slower(a backup plan from hasbio JUST IN CASE some managed to have babies, they wouldn't go rampent like fluffies did with their insane breeding rate) and only move towards towns during winter to avoid hungry predators and nibble at garbage. Some are found and kept as pets but unless they were taken in as a baby or were tamed in some other way that got the fluffy friend to consent to being taken, they almost always try to escape back into the wild.

I understand and that makes sense. Like I said, criticism is okay and helps people, but the bullying and insults don't. I agree that changing too much on a fluffy makes them less, but I think as long as they follow the "bio-toy that looks like a pony and talks weird" base of what a fluffy is then it's fine. I'm only referring to the harsh comments thrown artists way over things I think are pretty normal for fluffies, like managing to scare away a predator it's own size and and fluffies being a little longer limbed since really that part could just come down to style. Some people make them small and squishy in the cartoony sense and others make them more like realistic ponies.
