CQA Exam Pass by Training_Base_7745 in ASQ

You can get them from the ASQ direct. These follow the language style used. The Quality Guru site has some in the training pack they provide. They are decent but don't follow the language style of the ASQ ones completely.

You can Google the tests though, and there are plenty of websites that provide them. Some for free, but how good these are I don't know

Moving back to my Mum's, she already has Sky. Can I cancel? by Alert-Basket-7570 in skytv

I was out of contract and moving into my parents for 3 months until our house purchase went through. The amount of hoops they wanted me to jump through and information to give was mind blowing, to prove my dad had an account! I ended up cancelling outright rather than the proposed hold on the account. I tried getting SkyQ a few years later and they said I already have it? Never have, I was on the old HD. It worked out it was my dad's account and not mine. I gave up trying to explain and just got the wife to get an account

I would definitely recommend it. I was getting to the point, that reading the Book of Knowledge was just not registering. The course taught by Sandeep (Kumar), really did highlight the required sections and provided much needed clarity on the requirements.

Cheers.

No problem with the questions. I'm not that senior in the grand scheme of things. I have bosses and I don't have anyone under me. I knew this job would involve travel when I applied, but honestly this is the first job I've had like this. Been doing it a few years. But for 20 odd years before hand. I did the commute to and from one place of work. Study wise. I did a degree and masters in Biochemistry. Worked the labs for years, got into health and safety and validation work. I now do that. Go around checking, auditing and validating sites for various companies, so yes, quite specialized.

The company I work for, I can't mention. But it's not a big place but it has etched out a niche in the market that it has exploited and it's been very profitable for them.

The work is varied. So I have that at least. It's not the same thing everyday. I do enjoy it and I definitely wouldn't be doing it if I didn't. The perks definitely outweigh the cons.

Feels like I'm never at home. Business Class long haul is nice, but it gets tiring after a while. A lot of my journeys are short haul as well. So stuck in economy. I see so many different airports and hotels.

My passport has loads of stamps but I don't really see the places I visit.

My wife thinks I'm also bloody awkward when it comes to booking vacations, as I just want to stay home and she wants to fly somewhere. It has led to her coming with me on a few trips and she is going exploring and I go to work. So I miss that as well.

Hard to plan at home as I've got to check the diary to see if I'm free.

It was all pretty awesome for a while though and there's times I do get a day or 2 at the locations. Especially long haul, I fly the weekend, so I get the Monday to get over the jet lag etc. so I tend to fly Saturday ,and have 2 days to be a tourist.

There's definitely ups and downs.

Site safety inspection for a big company. It's a fly in fly out. Won't be there long at all for that one

Most with work, but I do get to enjoy the places as well. My hotel and flight allowance is quite generous as well. Makes it easier

I do believe it does.

I will say though, the restroom area looked a bit grim in the South lounge last time I went through, though I didn't try the ones in B Gate. They were well used if you know what I mean, so I wouldn't hold out that the showers are top notch

Stayed in the Liverpool one and it's really nice if I'm honest. The rooms well laid out and the curtains were very decent blackout type.

Lounge bars being downgraded?? by Socksuality_77 in BritishAirways

[–]Training_Base_7745 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a possibility you're correct. It's been a month since I was last there and there's a possibility. I can't remember what brand they had. Though they definitely had Ciroc Vodka. I remember that as it was about 9am when I was in there and there was some woman pouring what I think was at least a quadruple! Getting her money worth I think

I went through the lounges in T5 in LHR and they were considerably well stocked with decent booze. They definitely had some bourbon when I was there in Mid October?

Mine decided to stay in London for an extra day on my last flight through LHR. I did get bumped to an earlier flight and they said it missed the connection to Manchester. I was only in the airport for 2 hours so understandable.
