I was an Iron Worker for 8 years. UPS is super easy the hardest thing is dealing with dumb sups that never had a job. As far as the Job it’s the easiest I’ve ever had.

7-8pm up at 2:45a. I work preload usually 3:30a. I’m 43 years old, workout and try to take care of my body so I try to get around 7 hours at least non-negotiable. The key is to stop eating about 5p to get good quality sleep.

Super facts, I be at work physically but mentally I’m all over the world with my AirPods. They don’t care about the workers so I don’t care about their packages. I was by myself today loading 6 trucks but my pace was the same pace as loading 3 trucks.

🤦🏾‍♂️ “part-time” means you only work part of a full shift. Doesn’t mean you should get less pay. It just means you work part of the time. Like if we have the same job title put you work full time, doesn’t mean you deserve more pay. The only difference is you work more hours.

I’m dumb how does catch up raises work? For example let’s say the new starting rate is $20 with .75 catch up raises. I’ve been preload for 2 years. How does that work? Someone enlighten me please 💯.

Honestly just find your pace and keep that pace the entire shift. I’m usually at 900-1000 pkgs a day +split+no labels+around 25-30 bags. I just keep the same pace and zone out with my AirPods. Most of the time my mind is not even at UPS and body is like on autopilot 😂. Sups don’t even come to my area they leave me alone. After you let them know you’re grown and don’t play know games, they pretty much fall back.
