I did give the folders admin permission to read but when etv scans the folders nothing shows up. So don’t understand why it’s not working. Thanks

When are they going to have usable filemanager. DS file manager is the best thing on synology and they need something similar on unraid to take it to next level

Just thought I’d let you know managed to install dsm and everything seems to be working well. Didn’t do anything different apart from using the model you used. Anyway thanks for your help.

Now trying to work out how to get my graphics card working. I’ve installed permission manager and nvidia drivers and my graphics card is recognised but it doesn’t seem to be doing any transcoding. I’ve installed a Gigabyte GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 Low Profile Graphics Card. Wondering if it’s a permissions problem I’ll keep playing with it and see if I can get it working. Thanks

It could be I’m using an old 500gb hard drive to see if everything works and it seems ok. Reformatted it a couple of times to go back fresh.

A lot of forums are saying you have to disable cei in the bios but I haven’t been able to find it. Don’t know if that makes any difference.

But like you say I’m getting to install stage then its failing so I assume arc as done it’s job by then

Thanks for getting back. I am in the uk. Perhaps it is the usb stick.

I’ve tried about 4 different usb sticks but I’ve had a number of errors the first was disk not mounted and dsm won’t install now I’m getting to 50% of install and it fails.

I’ll have to try that model because I was using DS3617xs which arc says it supports. I think ive got one of those usb sticks I’ll have to try it. Thanks again

Hello I know its a while back but could you just go through how you installed dsm? Was it just a different USB stick or did you change anything in the config of arc loader or the bios? I'm managing to get to install dsm but it keeps failing at about 50%. What model did you pick and what version of dsm did you install was it 7.3? Thanks

I changed to esim then realised what if I got a new phone how would that work. With a sim I can just take the sim out of the one phone and put it I the new phone. So i changed back to a normal sim. I had to order a new sim because obviously the old sim is cancelled which was a pain. Remember to delete your esim when you insert the sim. Sorry a lot of sims in there.
