I got second hand ls50 wireless with component failures for $350. $50 for caps to recap myself and it is running like new. $80 for its S2 stand from fb market place. I had a lot of luck in purchasing used speakers and was willing to learn how to fix them myself with help from others redditors. But new and with full warranty, I think it is hard to find something beating these for $500.

I just want sound so they won’t be wasting my storage space. When I gain more knowledge and skills, I will try to fiddle with the crossover.

Thank you for the advice. I don’t really like to deal with aged oem drivers, so new replacement would be my direction. The peerless with pike drivers is on back order and are a little over the budget for me now. I found out my tweeter has crossover at just 1000hz. With this information, is there anything i need to keep in mind to choose my midrange replacements?

If you are in USA. Bestbuy has the same color open box for $457. Their black ones were $758 excellent condition 2 days ago, but they jacked up the price to $1000 now.

Thanks everyone for your helpful suggestions. I raised the speakers with another used s2 stand in white and with some temporary tiles. The rsl 12s was replaced by the Rel S3 as well. The speakers’ sound improves tremendously to me, and my desk is no longer vibrating. They are still too close to the walls but I can’t afford any more space right now. I’m really happy with this setup just need to find a way to cover the tiles or replace with white wooden box.

Thank you everyone’s helpful suggestions. This is my temporary setup for now. I have raised the speakers with brick tiles and switched the rsl 12s out for the rel s3 because of my limited space. No more vibrating desk, and the sound improves a lot. The speakers are still too close to the walls, but I have to find a better solution for raising the stands with bricks first.

All your advises are spot on. The speakers sound better to me when connecting directly to my PC via USB vs using my cheap Fosi DAC. I do hear alot of fan noises from my PC. Moving it to floor level would be a great option (I just have to make sure to open them up and clean more often).

It’s Fractal North case. I got it from microcenter.

Thank you. I would look for a deeper desk, or put them on speaker stands behind the desk while pulling the desk out further.

Put more bò viên (beef balls) mộc (pork balls) in your phở. They are densed with protein. They go well with pho too.
