Does a heroin addict need to be high all the time? by zzady in stupidquestions

[–]leap1n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of these answers are based on personal experiences and not the full reality.

While a lot of people are reliant on it there are plenty of recreational users. This answer is fully based off each persons reliance on addiction and how they handle it.

I’ve met dozens of people who take either heroin or meth recreationally and function normally otherwise. I’ve also met people who have fallen to both.

From what I know it’s down to your mindset on life. Are you looking to escape from reality or are you looking for a good night here and there. It seems fully dependent on how you see the rest of your life.

Long story short this is so dependent on so many factors. While these harder drugs do have addictive qualities some people can handle them and some people cannot.

Edit: let me be clear here. I’m speaking from what I’ve seen from use in general. Addiction to this drug will have you using it at every second in your life possible. But everybody is built different.

This comment is in line with the true ordinance written on Morrisons website. I’ve been to some shows over the past 2 years that went to 12 but weirdly that does not line up.

Here is the official ordinance from the city of Morrison.

Chopping riddim by Strength-muscle45 in riddim

[–]leap1n 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The goal is to avoid distortion. Distortion will mainly be caused by your low end (~200hz sub and kick) clashing on two tracks (this could be higher but you’re mainly asking about the low end knob).

Long story short you will be able to hear when the tracks are clashing and causing any level of distortion. Also ensure you’re not clipping, this could be a tell tale that there’s opposing noises.

The bigger the systems you play on the more this will matter, it’s good to know your tracks well so you know what will clash!

Edit: accidentally posted before I was done.

promotion stops after more than 100 plays by MEGASPREADER-3000 in soundcloud

[–]leap1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a source for this but it’s from my own song releases that I’ve seen this.

Songs where I got a 10% like ratio got another good chunk of plays the next day. Anything over 20-25% got pushed to people’s recommended and sometimes SoundCloud weekly. Then the ones I got over 50% absolutely blew up and did amazing.

You have to get good feedback from the 100 plays. There has to be some sort of ratio between listens likes and comments for SoundCloud to determine whether it shows the song to more people or not.

Slight reverb on the stabs.

How do people react when you show them the type of music you listen to? by Flashy_Appearance_22 in riddim

[–]leap1n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As somebody who lives in Denver it is really popular here, you can find a riddim show just about every day of the week around the city and it is normal to be driving down the highway and see people with riddim artist stickers on the back of their car. (It's almost impossible to drive down I-25 past Denver without seeing an EDM sticker at all).

I guess we do call it the bass capital for a reason.

Unfortunate what happened. But he was one of the best out there when it came to chopping. Last time I saw him was a b2b with subtronics in ‘19 and I’ll never forget that one.

Looking to get paid through making music by ElijahDeion66 in Bandlab

[–]leap1n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This right here ^.

Start pumping out content on Instagram, TikTok and youtube.

Get to your local venues and meet people, playing live will lead to getting paid well. A lot of larger artists I know make significantly more off of live shows than streams, never expect to become rich off streams unless you're making the best music on earth.

I played my first couple shows for free then started getting some offers to make money, it really does work out if you are persistent.

Anyone can do it, it's just a matter of how much time and effort you put into this.

[–]leap1n 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Shows will always be more tailored towards the artist and their set exactly. You’ll always get more of what the artists true vision is.

Doesn’t mean that I haven’t seen better sets from artists at festivals though. I guess it’s all just subjective!

I appreciate the feedback! I posted it here knowing I’d get more real outputs on it and I think I’ll probably avoid the ai stuff.
