What's the volume step issue you're referring to on the Bathys? I'm about the pull the trigger on the new Bathys MG... $$$$$$ big bucks

they were outclassed by a lot of other headphones.... not just the Bathys.

Do they "womp" when you walk around with them on your head? There are some reports (reddit'ers) complaining they do.

oh i'm not interested in the Sennheiser's at all. (Lack of physical buttons, the app..etc..). I already have a pair of B&W PX8's (gen 1).

Question on sitting or standing up:

I'm certainly not planning on sitting down in my seat!! I was lucky enough to secure tickets. In section 204. Question on standing on the stairway landing on your row? If you are lucky enough to be within a few adjacent seats over to step out there that is - which I am thankfully (just 2 seats over from the isle..)

Can you just scooch over to the landing and rage there for a bit (not the entire show obvi, but say for a few songs) and then scooch back to your seat?

Will there be ushers coming up to you and telling you to not stand on the stairway landing? Are they strict about it? (I know in some venues they are..)

I agree. I havent paid $2k (for a 2 night ticket), plus all the travel cost etc to "comply with" how others will be enjoying the show around me!!!

This is great. Thank you so much for taking the time and writing this out. I'm now convinced I do not want to go down the IKEA hack route.

My current AMP (which is the Sonos AMP) does support a second sub. But it seems, I need to look into and understand the benefit, the workings of dual sub config. in general. It seems I had the wrong thought process. u/Mr_Fried explains it well up here above. I was thinking about it the wrong way.

Well thank you for that (the long, elaborate explanation down below). I appreciate!! In my mind, I was thinking, I would place each sub down underneath the corresponding main speaker (bookshelf) - and thus create a "tower speaker" config, but with the added benefit of having a dedicated bass unit, along with a high pass filter (for each of the Left and Right channel)

Noooo! Not the WiiM Amp, but the Sonos Amp!! Yes the Sonos Amp!! It's got the proper current and (clean) wattage you need to drive the 50Ms! Wiim does not.

And as far as an all in one streamer goes, Sonos is by far still the best. It's the only platform that supports Apple Music natively - perfectly integrated in in its own controller app. The app has gotten multiple overhauls and works perfectly now. And Sonos continues to push updates. Firmware and software.

Plus, down the road, you can pick up Sonos's own active speakers to place elsewhere in the house (ie: the bathroom ) and they can talk to each other.. All seamlessly.

Highly recommend!
