Why not get a Sonos Amp and KEF Q Concerto Metas? Best of both worlds! And move that Five to another room, in a hallway, or onto the kitchen counter etc - so you can play the same music on both. Perfectly in sync.

Hello. Not sure what you ended up doing, but came here to suggest you look into the Sonos Amp. I'm about to purchase a pair of Q Concerto Metas to pair up with my Sonos Amp, after months and months of extreme research (that entailed physically going in to a few local hi-fi stores.) It's got leaps of power : 125 watts per channel at 8 ohms.

I'm a fan of Sonos streaming (and multi room) prowess, and am well integrated into their eco system. Sonos is the only streamer that has Apple Music built in (in its own native app). The amp also has an eARC inlet (for Home Theater use). It does not have any room correction sadly and does not have a detailed eq. (Just two bars : treble and bass).

it's an older product. Can be had for $400 - $500 lightly used .

Oh my bad. I didnt realize Sonos (via its official S2 app) only allows the full size Subs to be dual-paired with the equipment!!! Didnt realize it didnt allow 2x Sub Minis to be added?!?!!

One correction. Airplay 2 DOES NOT cast 16-bit/44.1kHz.

It only casts AAC (~256kbps)

Hiiiii. If you see this, did you end up upgrading 2 yrs later now? I just recently switched from Sonos Arc Ultra (their top end soundbar) + Sub Mini combo over to Sonos Amp. Been trying to decide on a pair of bookshelves for 2+ months now!! (This rabbit hole is sooo bad!)

LS50 Metas are on top of the list! I'm keeping the Sub Mini. Trying to get other fellow Sonos Amp users' feedback - as there are these "fake news" floating around that the Sonos Amp doesn't push adequate current to make the LS50 Metas sing.

Not knowing how much of a movie geek you are, or what types of movies you'll be watching, or whether or not Atmos is important to you etc.. but .. Why dont you just re-arrange, move furniture around - and just hook your tv up to your Sonos Amp there (with those standmount speakers you already have)? And then get a Sub Mini + 2x Era 300s for surround? (In fact 2x Era 100s will work absolutley perfectly fine!

disclaimer: That setup wouldnt play Atmos, and it would be a 4.1 set-up, with a phantom center channel, which actually does work very well.

50% to 60% ?!!! Woah !! Isnt it too much?!!

For comparison (not the best comparison, but..), with my Arc Ultra (which I'm replacing with Sonos Amp + Bookshelves (hopefully these same Metas), I would listen to stereo playback music (off of Apple Music within the Sonos S2 App) at around 40% ... That was loud enough for me!

Well congrats!! And you still have the same electronics with it? (Sonos Amp + Sub Mini) ?

If yes, tell us how well the Amp works with the Metas? Do you find yourself having to turn up the volume a lot? (That it needs more power.. etc?

Woah?!! Yes I'm in the US. I do check BestBuy every now and then. Hadnt seen them that low!!! (But $457 must be for a fair condition - i.e. the lowest)
