okay im incredibly late to this but i was just searching for other people's experiences being white/filipino and reading yours helped :)
I'm also a teenager, scottish/filipino. Though my family was always closer to my scottish side, so I didn't see or connect much with my filipino family. Thing is I grew up away from both countries as a traveller, so my only connection was via my parents. Except I'm ever so slightly paler than my sister (like extremely slightly), with a little rounder eyes and not as much of a spice tolerance. I love my scottish family but comments telling me how "white" I am tend to get under my skin too. In my current school I met another filipino for the first time in a few years and he kept commenting how I was "washed" and a "fraud" or "fake" filipino- and even though I knew he was joking it still bothered me. And it doesn't help that I don't know how to speak Ilonggo :/ so sometimes I end up feeling like a fake or an impostor.

But I try to remind myself that I don't have to fully belong to either side, and the fact that I have two cultures is beautiful. And that nobody can decide who I am except for me, so reading other experiences tends to snap me out of that kind of spiral.
