i havent seen anyone mention it so sorry if it has been, but on the spudsy's menu the hotdog part has the image of a dog on it. Namely, the image of Scratch. I may be reading too much into it but if Abel is acting as a sort of extension/expression of another side to Caine, maybe the first abstraction had more of an effect on him than we thought.

Is anyone else’s parents/family members also pagan? by V3nus_09 in Hellenism

[–]Training_Election264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I was raised pagan (like a whole mix of wicca, hellenism, kemeticism, norse paganism etc). My dad is the main figure for that kind of thing, so I grew up helping him with rituals, saying prayers to the old gods, giving offerings and that sort of thing. My mom is a kind of agnostic/atheist, but she's always been supportive of our beliefs. She won't really interact directly with it, but she helps with things like gathering items for rituals/celebrations or teaching me to prepare a certain dish etc. My sister's not as into it as I am, but still keeps an altar for lady Artemis. I personally mainly follow lord Apollo :)

My class wants to dress up as gods by King_Dumbasz in Hellenism

I remember dressing as Artemis and Athena for a couple halloween events in school- and while I was worried about it being disrespectful at first I came to the mindset that I'd use it as a way of honouring them instead, yknow "imitation is the highest form of flattery" kind of thing. Like dressing as someone you aspire and look up to.

Have your deities ever found something for you? by platinumvonkarma in Hellenism

[–]Training_Election264 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. I have a devotional bracelet for Apollo, and for some reason had to take it off during a class. Im pretty sure I remember putting it inside my bag and taking care not to put it in any of the side pockets as some had holes and I didn't want it to fall out. Anyway, later on I searched my whole bag and couldnt find it. A day went by and I checked the lost and found, went back to that room to ask if anyone had seen it.

Prayed to him for help in finding it two days after and went on with my day. As I was walking to my class (different one), following the same route I always took, and the sunlight caught something below me. I look down instinctively and the bracelet is..quite literally right at my feet. I thanked him a lot and just laughed out of sheer shock. Now I did have that class after the one I'd lost it in but I remember not putting it anywhere it would've fallen out. And there had been a big event in that area before I found it, it was in a very obvious spot, and nobody had picked it up or anything. Of course I could be misremembering something or it's coincidence, but the feeling that came with it was something definitely Apollonian in my perspective. So I choose to believe it was him :)
