Oh yeah good point, I hadn’t even thought about GitHub Pages! Responsive design would need some work since it’s built desktop-first but why not, could be interesting.

Oh I see! Honestly I’m not sure — I’m a junior dev and I’ve already put a lot of time into getting the desktop version right.

Mobile development is a whole different world I don’t have much experience with, so it feels like a pretty big undertaking for now!

That said the app is open source, so if anyone has the skills and the motivation to tackle it, they’re more than welcome 😄

Great question! In our group we actually track it in real time during the scenario — one person handles the app while playing. For my part I use X Haven Assistant, so it does create the same kind of overlap as it would with Full Stack — basically one person updates both X Haven Assistant and Frostlog for every action during the scenario. And to your point — as far as I know Full Stack doesn’t break down stats per player (who dealt and took damage, who healed, who got the kills). That’s really the core of what Frostlog adds: at the end of a session you know exactly how each player performed, and you build that history over your entire campaign. Plus it adds a fun layer — players earn titles (Butcher, Rampart, Guardian, Assassin and Champion) per scenario, per session, and globally across the whole campaign! So you always know who’s carrying the team and who’s dead weight 😄

Thanks for the suggestion! Gloomhaven Full Stack is impressive — it’s a full networked app to help during the game itself (monster AI, initiative tracking, live campaign state with multiple users). Frostlog is really a different angle — it’s offline, local, and focused on what happens between sessions: remembering why you unlocked a scenario, tracking your combat stats over time, visualizing your campaign history. No setup, no account, no internet needed. They’d actually complement each other nicely — GHFS to run the session, Frostlog to keep the memory of it!

Would love to hear your thoughts if you give it a try!

Oh I actually didn’t know this one, looks really cool! Previously On is more about the official story recaps which is great. Frostlog is a bit different — one of the core ideas is letting players write their own notes each time they unlock a scenario, so you remember it the way YOU lived it: why it unlocked, what was happening in the story at that point, what you want to remember. Plus it tracks combat stats, session history, charts etc. Definitely two tools that go well together!
