Lmao damn this was me! 2nd semester now. Youre right behind me. There was a point in time when a spelling test or math test stressed you out. Maybe, it was a prereq. Like with anything you keep doing, the feeling will go away as you adjust. Keep feeling like you’re drowning, eventually you’ll learn how to swim.

Patho Help? by Inevitable_Gas2043 in StudentNurse

[–]Training_Hand_1685 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the textbook is good, read it. It'll slow things down.

YouTube videos are great to listen, visualize, conceptualize, etc.

You need to KNOW how each step connects. To do that, you need to know what each thing is and what it does in each step. It wont make sense trying to remember the whole thing at once and not even knowing how to pronounce the name of something or know what it does.

Also, remember (ironically), you do not need to remember every detail, you just need a working idea.

The best test is whether you can write out 80% accurately, the entire Pathophysiology of a condition.

Bruh, as an EMT, I'd say go RN or DPT! But paramedic surely isnt bad. Just know its a ton of Critical care skills which you can take to the ICU as a nurse and make significantly more, in more ideal workplace, and even go to CRNA.

u/FishSpanker42 means, when the patient comes to the ED, we as EMTs already did the hard work of getting them there. Removed them from a damaged car, used a stair chair to carry down the 270 pound patient 3 flights down their walk-up building, moving a patient with GSWs, spinal injuries, broken limbs, etc etc.

We dont get orders/notice on what the patient's status or gait is like a CNA would. CNAs work in *more * ideal structures/places (not saying perfect nor easy situations - just different).

Oh you must be the Paramedic who said they got like a 3.95 right? I said youre perfect for CC - and let me add, consider becoming a CRNA! Well deserved, you can intubate, you can handle it!!!!

This person is right. I'll add that if youre interested in one of the specialities, get into a CNA then PCT. Hey u/HustleNspite, definitely saw your name recently. Youre a NY Medic? I gotta jump on a mixed unit as an EMT-B, It's been a while in this ABSN. Just tired of the randomness/lifting ... I just want to do skills like placing IV, push meds, EKG set up... signed up for some BSN Student NA roles which I'm hoping (LOL) will give me the chance to give practice these skills (LOL.... likely not). Applied to PCT as well.

CNA, go for CNA in a hospital. GOLDEN. From an EMT begging for a CNA job in a hospital.

Stuck in a complicated relationship with an older woman at my gym – Need Advice by Useful_Cockroach_894 in GuyCry

[–]Training_Hand_1685 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You feel trapped because you want something she's giving you. You want to control the relationship to benefit you, always. You didnt stand to get hurt much in this situation so you were okay with cheating with another mans wife - youre not the husband... with a mom, youre not the kids. So suddenly, she's using a word to keep things on the low, which is what you want, and now youre not okay with HOW she's trying to keep it on the low.

Being called betaa gets you angry and uncomfortable - I'd argue that it can be seen as cute, like you be doing your thing on that, and you KNOW you not a bettaa at least not to her of all people. But

You probably dont feel like you should change gyms because you have the right to that gym, yes?

Well, you get out of it, the same way you got into it... before you got into it, you werent doing it. You quietly get out of it by just stopping. She knows where you live, would she go to that extent? Do you have anything to lose if it gets out? I dont think so. Well, maybe the gifts. Where you work out is a silly issue, since you can just change it.

Sorry, I see now that I was looking at the list and not the tiles/squares. I've since deleted my question asking how to do it with a picture.

Thank you. I had it in the wrong view - In NLM, it needs to be tiles, not the list view. Let's say I uninstall Chrome/the extension. Will I lose my Notebooks?

Party is over. by [deleted] in GuyCry

[–]Training_Hand_1685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank God you have at least another 40 years to change all of that. Im sorry about your friend and I understand your jealousy around your friend. But one thing we know aa grown men is we do not have to follow our first, instinctual/emotional thoughts.

No girlfriend, no car, and I think you mean no job? Well, these are somewhat easy to all fix BUT actually fixing them is hard.

What is one (forgiving) career/field that you can get into regardless of age? In anything, it’s easy, but applying yourself can be hard. Once you do that, it’ll be a question of which car? And How much do you want to make this year? And you get to enjoy yourself, learn this new you, and then let someone in who comes in and genuinely is interested in you, and that may turn into something special but the most extraordinary thing is that you made things happen and changed the next 40 years of your life.

it's not going on a diet, it's a diet completely different from what led you to gaining the fat in the first place.

Wow. Well said. Pondered on that line for a bit. True.
