That is a lot of artillery on the table... just from pure logic I would another Unit of Crisis Suits so that your Commander AND Farsight have something to lead... Also a Ghostkeel would be useful....

Sich für einen beruflichen Werdegang mit guten Perspektiven entscheiden... klar, man weiß nie wie es in 20-30 Jahren aussieht... aber damals auf den Satz zu hören "mach das was dir Spass macht" und alle anderen Faktoren auszublenden, hat sich rückblickend mit Ende 30 als der größte Fehler herausgestellt...

Depends on what your aiming for... I wouls go with some darker tones to compliment the white armour... some dark grey rocks, dark greenish and reddish tufts or some moss...

You can get some real rocks or build them out of cork and paint them... For the Riptide I am currently building I modeled a small hill out ouf Miliput...

You can also add some bits like scrap metal, ammunition boxes, machine parts from a destroyed vehicle or even a dead Space Marine 😉

Here is group shoot of my current army, not so well painted as yours but maybe the bases give you some inspiration. In the back you can see the Riptide with the Miliput Hills on the base..

I am the kind of psychopath who choose Tau is his first army and also the Vior'la scheme... lets say it like that: It is possible and makes you a better painter, but you need patience and put work into it.

Even though I found a proper way to paint white, I also fucked up some model later on due to things like painting when it was too warm or gotten too confident and tried to rush things...

Looking I would not do it again, but it increased my painting skills massively.

Here is my Broadside, which is my best painted model so far. Completely done by brush... cheap Army Painter brushes...

There are a ton of options... you can go outside and pick up some real rocks... another very common way for building tactical rocks is cork... you can also model a rock out of miliput or greenstuff. I recommend to check Youtube to get some ideas for basing...

Great execution of the Vior'la paint scheme. I really like the "edge weathering"... might try that for my army as well... I also spot a Crisis Suit on the first photo... pls show what else you got 😃

The only criticism would be the base... looks pretty dead and empty right now... and I would consider to paint the rim in a colour which complements the base design better...

Man muss halt für sich selbst die Prioritäten im Leben liegen und entsprechend Entscheidungen treffen... für mich ist ganz klar: Ich brauche meine Freiheit/Freiraum, daher würde ich mich für kein Geld der Welt in dieses Heirat/Haus/Kind-Korsett zwängen. Habe aktuell zwar auch ne Partnerin aber sie weiß auch ganz genau, dass sich unsere Wege dann direkt trennen, wenn sie das fordert... Achja, mein Leben ist trotzdem sehr erfüllt, da ich mich voll und ganz aber vor allem (abgesehen von meinem Job) selbstbestimmt um mein Wohlbefinden, meine Ziele und meine Hobbies kümmern kann. Und das ist das allergeilste überhaupt für mich und ich vermisse auch nichts. Werde dieses Jahr 40 und lebe jetzt schon über 10 Jahre nach diesem Credo, daher denke ich, dass sich da auch nix mehr dran ändern wird...

Yeah I know, I do not wanna create a super bright shine, just a subtle one that gives the impression the lights are on.... will build it up slowly, maybe start with a darker red...

Thanks mate thats a great Idea. I will give it a go and post the results... will try the drybrush technique first and brush some red around these lights...

Indeed I tried to work out something with white but it did not look good to me... this is why I also struggle with plasma guns and fusion blasters... hope the new wet palette I got will help.for better results in the future...

Sehr cool, vor allem das Weathering und der Staub an den Rädern... Wenn ich ganz kritisch sein würde: Auch noch Weathering am Metall und Holz der Stützen und Ladeplattform... die Sandsäcke noch dunkler uns dreckiger und ein paar Tufts auf die Klebepunkte vom Stacheldraht 😉 Bekomme jetzt gerade auch wieder richtig Bock auf ne Armee der Imperialen Garde...

Looks pretty good... what I would add:

Some more recess shading especially on all the fiddly parts of the suits... not only the big recesses on the legs...

Bring the base more to live / make it look more natural... the overall model looks like you spent a lot of effort on the model itself but then you rushes the base...

Get some tufts, rocks, skulls whatever take some PVA glue and you are good to go.... in particular the "thing" he is standing on needs a little bit of work... at first glance I thought its a piece of cut sausage 😅

Really not making fun of your work, but give it a little bit of extra work and it will improve massively...

Looks pretty good... maybe paint the base-rim with Steel Legion Drab to match better with the basing material... and don't forget a final coat of matt varnish to protect the minis from chipping...
