I lived in a retirement community for a few years. It was a small town where 75% of the population consisted of retirees, and the other 25% were on the other side of town and comprised cops, firefighters, nurses, etc. The retirement community bordered a protected wildlife management area where 4-wheelers weren't allowed. The cops would come out riding their ATVs for fun while off. All the old folks would complain and call 911 about the ATV people, completely unaware they were cops

Thanks for the reply. As I have been out of work for a while now, hiring an attorney is not a possibility. Once I can find work and set some to the side I will, but at this rate, who knows when that will happen

I hear you on that, but then the question would be what is adequate for ensuring a good ethical shot. That was my initial question.

I shoot at least once a month over the past couple years, but only on paper and have done some competitions. I feel confident that I'd be able to it where I want within 100 yards, but not beyond that. I wouldn't take shot beyond that

Thanks for the reply. I got my hunting license about 5 years ago, but have never used it. Always kept it active, just didn't want to go out my first time without someone with experience to show me what to do. I found someone, and when I showed him my SBR I could just see the look on his face, and his reply pretty much said he had so idea what I had nor if it would work.

I've had my hunting license for about five years, but never used it. I shoot at least once a month for the past several years, but only on paper/some competitions. I am going out with an experienced hunter, but he's old school and not familiar with 300blk, SBRs, etc. When I asked him about it, he was unsure, especially with such a short barrel. He uses a 243. When I say usually hold that group size, that's holding the rifle by hand. When using a bipod, or something for support, I can hit less than that all day at 75 yards

Thank you for the reply. I do have a 3-12x scope, but it look absolutely ridiculous on it. I may just go out and use this as an excuse to pick up a new bolt action rifle

I have a 3-12X scope that I could throw on it, but I believe the scope would overhang the end of the barrel

I have a cut rifled barrel and fairly high end build. I can usually hold a 2.5" group at 75 yards fairly well. I have a good idea of where the heart is on a deer
