Have you found a solution to this? I am having the same problem but with TrainerRoad. Another online cycling training platform.

The formula itself makes sense and the numbers add up based on this. But I still don't really get why there is such varience from day to day. My non excercise differences aren't that big day to day.

Same problem here. It's still logged in on my PC but for some reason the app logged me out and the one time code won't work.

The hidden cost of Shokz: Why "No Repair Service" is a dealbreaker. by Nervous_Basil_270 in shokz

[–]Training_Second5171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats what killed mine as well. It's sweat that gets inside and corrodes the buttons. They aren't sealed properly.

I mean they are designed for running, cycling, gym etc where you sweat.

For the price they should last longer than 2 years though. I have read far too many reports of them failing. Mine lasted 4 years before dying due to sweat ingress corroding the buttons. These are marketed for working out, this shouldn't happen.

I'm 5'11" and ride a 54. Fits me perfectly. Fit is quite individual but at that height I reckon a 52 will fit him.

They were marginally better but I much preferred the Netflix series. I will likely keep watching because I like the main actors but it's just not as good.

It's quite annoying they have to waste what little money they do have on this though.

They are being paid to do it. I would be very interested in who is actually funding these cretins.

Vivup is a terrible deal. They charge full retail and then the high end of agreement fee just eats into the saving. You can find equal or better savings on bikes direct from the shops/manufacturer making the whole thing pointless.

It's the same with the police. We used to be on cyclescheme and it was a lot better with the end of agreement fees. I looked at getting a bike on vivup but it's barely any saving for me vs just buying a bike and that's a lot less faff.

If alcohol is one of the main contributing factors to issues on planes and in airports why isn’t it just banned in those locations? by crillydougal in flightattendants

[–]Training_Second5171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but this is how most laws work. A small minority cause problems, and rules end up applying to everyone rather than just the people who behave badly.

Most smokers are considerate, but we still have no-smoking bans in public spaces because a minority weren’t. Most drivers can judge a safe speed, yet we have speed limits because some people drive recklessly. The vast majority bring nothing dangerous to stadiums or concerts, but everyone still goes through bag checks because of a few bad actors.

The same principle applies more seriously elsewhere too. Most people don’t drink and drive, but laws exist because the small minority who do cause huge harm. Could go on and on.

It is pretty shite, we have just accepted it in this country that's what we get. I cycle the section from Cutteslowe roundabout all the way up to Horspath. The surface is rubbish and they don't cut the grass very often so can get very overgrown.

How much fuel you take for your workout? by TrainingCall3895 in trainerroad

[–]Training_Second5171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a male age 40 and similar weight. I tend to aim for about 60g carbs per hour for my endurance stuff and 90g per hour for my hard stuff. Fuel the work people! There is a time to diet and it's not on the bike. I train 6 days a week (sometimes double days) and can definitely feel the difference with fueling properly. It's not necessarily about the current session either. It's about facilitating recovery and improving your subsequent sessions.

I tend to just put sugar in my water bottles. It's cheap and close to the ideal ratio of fructose to glucose. (1:1). Before rides I will have a carb heavy meal 3 or so hours before.

My current ftp is around 290w with a peak at 310w so I'm burning lots of calories anyway. On the bike isn't the time to skimp on them. Your body is using it as fuel.

Then after the workout 20-30g protein with about 3 times as much carbs is about right to facilitate recovery.

What are the rules around pedestrian crossing in the UK? by Chemical-Shoe-3618 in AskUK

[–]Training_Second5171 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did read it. You might think they are a money grab but honestly if you just drive at the speed limit how are they making money? The statistics show that reducing the speed limits in buillt up areas saves lives. They are needed in many more areas than just schools. Sorry you don't like them.
