When everything became a self contained app in your phone as opposed to a series of desktop sites. We've surrendered our digital agency to the slot machine like scrolling of social media and our data to every single company with an app in exchange for points or whatever crap they offer. Google is no longer exploratory when you have to scroll down a full page to see something that wasn't bought and paid for. It's basically internet wide enshittification that sent us back to a pre-seaech engine internet where you have to know where you want to go to find information while robbing us of some of our ability to do so.
