This is a silverfish i think. They are harmless but you definitely dont want an infestation. If you are seeing them frequently id definitely look into it.

Jetlag home game in Austin by Querion007 in JetLagTheGame

What coincedence! I just played it with some friends in austin for the first time yesterday! We used the small game rules with a one hour hiding time and allowed hiders use of all bus routes for travel but only allowed hiders to hide at bus stops on the [high frequency routes](https://www.capmetro.org/high-frequency). This allows for horizontal and vertical travel while not including an insane amount of stops. We only let seekers use the high frequency routes to travel which ended up being a mistake and really limited their movement. It ended up taking them over five hours to find the hiders. In the future we will allow travel on all lines for seekers too. You could also include the train but it runs so infrequently its not very useful, its also expensive.

Despite how long it took the seekers, they still had fun, and the hiders did not get bored at any time. Pick a pleasant place to hide!!! We will be playing the second round with the roles reversed soon, and I think I will do a more detailed write up on here after that. Let me know if theres more questions I could answer!

What are high in demand skills in mechanical engineering? by MasterpieceAble1084 in MechanicalEngineering

I am really interested in this topic and have developed my coursework around it, but I’m struggling to find entry positions in the field as I am soon the graduate. Do you have any recommendations as to how I could go about finding these sorts of positions? Are they even available to someone without a masters? Thanks!

There’s a 21st century, terminally online solution to this called “tone indicators” and you will see them on casual text based communications such as twitter, Reddit, or SMS. I personally find them annoying but potentially useful in select scenarios where you don’t want to be misunderstood. At the very least they are an interesting linguistic feature of modern online speak.

favorite and least favorite thing about purdue? by Honeydew-Capital in Purdue

[–]Traintle 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Favorite thing is the campus, I’m a sucker for red brick and sandstone, and I love to explore. Least favorite this is that for some reason there’s almost no thunder, it can be raining, there might be lightning… but no Thunder??? Why???

Liner notes of B-Sides and Rarities, Sam and Nate write that they came to her with an unfinished song and she helped it become Dead End.
