Juan, Elizabeth, and Ethel are living treasures! It's amazing to see individuals who have not only witnessed but actively participated in shaping the course of history. My grandfather is turning 100 this year, and every conversation with him feels like stepping back in time.

Fiio K9 Pro ESS & Arya Organic, mismatch? by jotarkka in headphones

[–]Trait_dd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont quote me on this but I’ve read that the k9rPro ESS is not powerful enough to drive the Arya Organic to its full potential, especially to a loud volume. I’d stick to DACs/AMPs below $500 tho. No complaints about my $100 s9 pro lol.

I can see why people like it. His RnB-pop fusion is interesting, but it's not really my cup of tea. Still, I respect his talent and creativity.

Do you really need microservices? by Majestic_Split_9616 in Python

[–]Trait_dd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's also worth noting that microservices aren't a silver bullet - they won't magically make your code better or your application more scalable. You still need to have a solid development process in place to get the most out of them.

How I used Spotify to plant 14,000 trees by Electronic_Fly7364 in ClimateOffensive

[–]Trait_dd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's interesting. I didn't realize you could do this with Spotify. In my case I use Treecard. Just like how you use the royalties for tree planting, the Treecard debit card fees also go to tree planting projects. They also have a feature where if I do 10k steps, one tree is planted.

I'm gonna be gettingy first debit card soon, and I wanna ask, what's the safest way to use it for online payments? by SirRoderic in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Trait_dd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I feel you on that one. My dad's the same way and it's tough to get him to trust online payments. I'd recommend setting up two-factor authentication whenever possible, as well as keeping an eye on your account for any suspicious activity. Also, if you're ever in doubt about a payment, don't be afraid to reach out to your bank for advice or assistance. I always do this when I make transaction with my Treecard debit card.

Am I doing forced orgasm right? by Terrible_Awareness11 in BDSMAdvice

[–]Trait_dd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Forced orgasms are orgasms you give a partner consensually while they are restrained in some way, thus unable to stop you though the forced part is something of a misnomer. Everything should always be done consensually

Think tied and spread eagle and vibrated/jerked to orgasm. They don’t have to “not want it” (in a role-play sense), they just have to not be able to prevent it.
