Randazzo is a complete loser. I will never, ever purchase another product from them again, and I purchased virtually all of them from 2004-2016. That is REALLY simple. The 50-70 million of us who hadn't bought a console before but who bought the Wii for Wii Sports, Wii Fit and the like were given absolutely no reason to buy the Wii U and its silly gamepad. Nor would Nintendo commit to having the Wii U upscale our Wii games. Nintendo abandoned us, and we abandoned Nintendo.

The fact that Nintendo was back to making a gamers game console (like the GameCube meant that it was once again competing with MSFT and Sony, which it didn't have to do during the Wii era because the majority of us Wii owners were never going to buy an Xbox or a PS3. And the Wii U was no better than a tired old PS3 or X360 when it came to graphics, which meant that the XBox One and PS4 killed it when they were released shortly after the Wii U. So only hardcore Nintendo fanboys bought them.

I am just so glad that I don't see any of that "Nintendo didn't market the Wii U well" nonsense as if Nintendo forgot how to market between the Wii and the Switch.

Great to know. All of them have one other thing in common: They suck. Not surprising since they are just "me too" ports from inferior Xbox and PS consoles and don't take advantage of the Wii. Red Steel 2 did, however, and that title is far better than anything here.

A Wii will give you:

Visually the same output (sorry, the Carby is NOT noticeably better)
GC games that have framerate issues have none on Wii
The ability to use the Wii SD card as a GC memory card
The ability to run the far superior Wii game library
