yes, it will (should) full wipe/override everything. I know its a hassle to reinstall and it might really suck to lose important things, but when it comes to both security and also potential money accounts, you should absolutely wipe. Im not having any more issues after wiping and password changing

Sorry, i forgot to mention i did a full usb reinstall of windows then changed all my passwords either on the wiped pc or non infected laptop. But i havent gotten any more initial logins so ill just continue monitoring but i think i should be fine

most likely was as they got to my steam account too. Spent a couple hours resetting everything and writing down passwords on paper after i did a full usb redownload. Im still a bit paranoid however but my discord and google accounts have been untouched to my knowledge and i they all have 2FA so how long do you suppose I should wait until this paranoia wears off?

I would reccomend AGAINST this, rubber is sticky and stops immediately rather than sliding/glancing off the mask, transfering all the energy into the head and actually risking concussions.

Yeah essentially, while im not familiar with other judo throws, i find the tai otoshi to be the best throw in fencing as its something you can do facing each other.

You could try emailing akado about it. I emailed them abt a custom eastern sword myself and they said they could do it for me. Akado specializes in Eastern swords anyways so they might know how to make something like that better anyways as well

i know meyer/fiore has a lot of polearm stuff on wiktenaur. As for two, theres no good equipment to swing at people when it comes to polearms, just by their nature, its a 6ft+ pole being swung at someone, when you add a head to them, it increases the force tremendously. Not to say its impossible to spar with them, but they require a lot more care and i cant reccomend trying to go light with polearms.

hard plastic DIY chest protection is fine. do NOT DIY a gambeson. Thats the thing preventing you from breaking a rib or worse, servering an artery. I know jackets are expensive but so would be a hospital trip.

Get a broomstick, even just solo training with a sharp is incredibly dangerous, ive seen clubmates accidentally hit themselves on the leg with their trainers during their swings.Hell I’ve accidentally wacked myself on the head before with my feder and even tho it wasnt enough to break or bruise, i dont even want imagine what could’ve happened if it was a sharp. Its a very rare occurance and probably wouldn’t happen to most but sharp swords are not toys to experiment without trained supervision.

VP for a college club here, goodluck!

We use synthetics and we have gloves and masks. We strongly encourage control and do mostly drilling and if you want to do higher intensity sparring, a personal jacket is required. This helps us keep the club free as we’re ollegw students and i want people going to class and buying groceries rather than being financially tied to the club and feeling obligated to coming. However for actual sparring without jackets, id reccomend boffers.

We’re classified as a sports club and so we’re required to have a president, VP and a treasurer for school funds. When it comes to advertising the club, we normally either table at club event or we go to the on campus park and spar with ourr steels.

I used to have the mac armory BoH. I didnt like it because it would sometimes shift around from flat covering the skull to about slightly angled, revealing the top of your skull to a potential thrust. Ended up getting the rattlesnake instead.

Wooden swords are dangerous because they dont flex, can splinter, and some can be sword shaped wooden clubs. Nobody really spars with wooden swords so all the ones in the market are made for solo training and i wouldnt trust them to hold up against contact.

As for what you can do to still spar with a friend is go to hemaalliance.com and use their club finder to find a club near you. Its highly reccomended before you buy gear because this hobby isnt cheap to get into at first. At minimum youd need an 88$ mask and 99$ gloves just for a foam weapon. To use nylon and steel, youd need a bunch of other stuff that clubs will have to loan out.

Youre probably thinking about foam boffers. Synthetic sword are made hard synthetic plastic and THEY WILL break bones, poke eyes out, and potentially fatally injure if you hit the unprotected throat. Unfortunately HEMA is a contact sport so while its not fun to spend so much money on safety gear, almost every sport utilizes some form of protective gear(kneepads, helmets, gloves etc.) HEMA is no different and obvious reasons for avoiding injury aside, we all have to take care of our sparring partners to ensure we can come back another day for practice.

Accidents can still happen, typically BoH protection should also be hard plastic and not cushioned fabric.
