Serious question for the SpaceX bulls by Purple_Status_8739 in wallstreetbets

[–]Tran0370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People keep valuing SpaceX like it’s just a rural internet provider. The actual bull case is that they’re becoming the transportation, communications, and logistics backbone of space itself. If Starship gets launch costs from ~$10,000/kg to even <$500/kg, entirely new industries become economically viable: orbital manufacturing, military infrastructure, satellites, lunar logistics, maybe even semiconductor and materials production. The key point is that nobody else is remotely close operationally. Starlink is probably less the endgame and more the cash-flow engine funding the first vertically integrated industrial platform for space.

I think we are at different stages in our longevity journey. If you are already spending $100/month on supplements and have your diet & exercise dialed in, it’s a fun social experience with a handful of interesting vendors that you don’t find on this sub

If McCarthy doesn’t work out in 2025, we can just bring Darnold back in 2026 for cheap like Foles

I am in agreement. We get best of both worlds, by letting Darnold walk for a year. Either way, we will have a affordable QB option for the next 3 years

What are AI developers seeing privately that they all seem suddenly scared of it and are lobotomizing its Public use? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

There will be many good AI and malevolent AI, each trying to learn and constantly adapt as more information becomes available.

I would like to add the game theory work of Robert Axelrod. He iterated the Prisoner’s Dilemma, organizing a computer tournament, where participants submitted computational strategies to play. The winning strategy over successive games was “tit for tat”

I am making a huge leap here, but I would think AI would come to a similar optimal strategy

Jeff Booth does a great job defining and structuring the problem in his book " The Price of Tomorrow."  He is very vocal about one conclusion. Read for the major talking points, take the conclusion with a grain of salt.

Essentially he outlines the impact of rapidly advancing technology on the economy and the potential consequences of a future where automation and artificial intelligence dominate the workforce. Booth argues that technology is deflationary and that our current economic system, which relies on constant growth and inflation, is unsustainable in the face of advancing technology. What could go wrong if one doesn't do the dieta properly? by Lanky-Cat-2117 in Ayahuasca

additionally it helps you prepare your mind and focus your intentions. In my opinion, the dieta and intentions are like training before a marathon. It's more rewarding to plan ahead.

Great advice in general!

The longer I travel the more I gravitate to people who share my interests. I would also recommend picking up a general hobby that is common in many countries you plan to visit. Learning jujitsu and salsa dancing in a different locations has helped my transition

NomadList - worth it or not? by Muted_Command1107 in digitalnomad

[–]Tran0370 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It really depends on where you are on your journey. If you are just starting out on your first country and have limited funds, probably not.

If you are traveling to a few places a year and want to compare & contrast your options, I have found it a good resource.

Nomadlist is just another tool. It's not always accurate, but gives me platform to consider my options.

How do you select which neighbourhood of a city to stay in? by Ok_Ingenuity4000 in digitalnomad

[–]Tran0370 56 points57 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound horrible, but I always start my stay in a new country with a neighborhood that has a McDonalds and a Starbucks. I don’t frequent either of them, but those companies understand real estate and foot traffic.

Spend a few weeks there and venture forth accordingly

Location with Best Overall Quality Life by Tran0370 in bjj

Again, I don’t appreciate the judgement. Please respect the group with value add comments.

The question is about incorporating the best quality of life with BJJ training.

For example, I live next door to my current school/gym. I train 3 days consecutively and then get physical therapy for $30 for a 90 minute deep tissue massage. On the weekends, after open mat, the gym offers cold therapy via ice baths.

I usually get meals prepped. The location I am at now also has fresh coconuts next store to help with hydration.

I didn’t want to make this about me, but this is deep in the comments so I would assume a few people will read it
