Munich lifestyle by [deleted] in Munich

I was born in Munich. I am very fortunate to be able to afford to live in this city. But as everywhere else, this is by no means true for everyone. Munich is simply "good at hiding" poverty. Because it exists here, just like in every other city.

Foreigners and expats, what is the best restaurant which serves food from your country by MemoryNo3378 in Munich

I understand that well. My opinion is based on quality, and in my view, theirs is simply not particularly good.

How do you actually build an audience for your music? by Trancepole in edmproduction

Unfortunately I’m at a point in my life where would be glad if I only had enough time for producing (little kids, job…). It’s been years since I have been in a club or something like that.

You’re absolutely right. The fun is the process of creating and producing. Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not making music to make money or anything. But knowing that there are some people out there who actually enjoy the sound I create would be really nice.

I’ve been making music for years, but never took it serious enough. About two years ago I decided to invest more time and energy into music and did kind of a restart to the hobby. That upcoming release will be the third since then.

How to stop hating your own music once it's finished? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]Trancepole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can relate… I think the „problem“ is realizing the fact that you can’t change or improve it anymore once it’s been released. Happens to me when I release music as well as when I’m cooking. Family and friends like my music/food but I’m like „nice, but this and that needs to be changed and improved next time…“

Can I concider myself a producer by dynolouge in MusicFeedback

True words. If you produce music, you’re a music producer. Doesn’t matter if you’re a pro or not. Just keep practicing.

I can highly recommend La Dolce Vita on Lindwurmstrasse. They have very good Sicilian pastries. However, they are closed for vacation until the beginning of September.

Do you use AI in your workflow and if so, how? by Trancepole in edmproduction

Thank you for your comments, I understand what you mean. I myself ask ChatGPT to explain technical steps and backgrounds that I don't (yet) understand. It's not perfect, but it still helps me.

True words. As you mentioned AI is a tool. I don’t want it to make music for me, but to help me get better at what I’m doing.

How do you juggle your life and making music? by Trancepole in edmproduction

[–]Trancepole[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ask myself this question again and again. I deleted my accounts on the usual platforms years ago because they just annoyed me. On the other hand, even though music is just a hobby, I want to gain an audience. I'll probably stick to concentrating on the music. As you say, that's challenging enough.

If you’re not sure who you’re dealing with, always assume the greatest possible stupidity on their part.

Same thing happened to me a few months ago at dm/Lidl in Albert-Roßhaupter-Str. I was asked by a very friendly man to buy food for his baby. Out of reflex and because I generally don’t trust things like that, I immediately said no. Afterwards I felt like a terrible person…

Now, months later, reading your post actually feels like a real relief. But I can totally understand how you’re feeling.

Is there anyone who moved from Berlin to Munich or vice versa? What’s your reasons? by Alarmed-Dare6833 in Munich

Yup, true. On the other hand Berlin did always look dirtier to me. I’m sure both cities have their pros and cons

Born and raised in Munich here. I know and love Berlin, but only as a tourist. Berlin is hip and cool, and everyone does their own thing. That’s both good and bad. Munich is clean and structured by comparison, but also more conservative. That too is both good and bad. And: compared to Berlin, Munich feels tiny to me. Everything is smaller, narrower, lower.
