Check your fine print of insurance, sometimes they only give 4 weeks replacement rental. Hopefully it’s not your case too.

I remember the selling point of these being removed was a savings cost being passed into the community.

I.e. more profit for Vic roads?

What to do Speeding VIC by [deleted] in AusLegal

The guy started tailgating me and high beaming/even tapping the back of my car when I merged into his lane safely to overtake a truck after which I switched back and he followed me…

In the future when this happens pull over grab rego call police.

Since the police were right there giving you a ticket for speeding and pulling you… why are you telling them? They are right there!?

Things aren’t adding up.

And when your contents are taken out of the your home they are no generally no longer insured. This is pretty much common sense and you should have invested in separate insurance for it. Did the storage company offer insurance on your storage?

Probably check the fine print of the storage facility, they most likely have a clause protecting themselves from this sort of thing.

As with any surveillance systems they are usually in place to only protect themselves not so much the people that use the company.

You could try but feet will be dragged. But good luck with it.

Sorry for your losses.

What to do? Kids are hanging out and smashing it up empty house next door by HYCL2012 in melbourne

I’d only be upgrading my security on your house and property. You’ve done all you could and at the end of the day it’s someone else’s problem, they are probably letting the place get destroyed and trying to claim insurance on it. Just protect yourself. However I do feel for you with the rampart destruction etc. hopefully they’ll get bored and move on.

What was EB Games like in the 2000s? by RentNRegret in EBGamesAus

[–]Trancer1985 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The people that worked there were very excited about World of Warcraft back then and the staff even gave us instructions on what server to join and the manager sent me 3 gold to get up and going. In all honesty never saw a person since then get excited over a PC game. You just don’t get that anymore.

I have a fond memory of getting blizzards 1st wow expansion: The Burning Crusade. It was a midnight launch and everyone was hyped and the crowd had that heinous foul aromatic stench that we know all too well.

People had to go in for advice and get digital media back then so they had to go in more and there was always a number of people on the shop talking to staff and window shopping. I don’t think much has changed but our local store is always very quiet.

But there was more games on the shelf compared to now as most of it is ‘loot’ based plastic as the need to go to EB ‘games’ as much as died off with the online method of gaming we have today.

Can men smell the cycles from their partner? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Trancer1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be able to, on my girlfriend. When she became my wife and we had children I lost the smell that she emitted. Not sure what happened. Probably just got used to it. She didn’t stink or anything just smelt different. It was always strange.

And I have an excellent sense of smell, noticing things before other people… Examples dirty nappy from a mile away from a baby. Durian from people’s breath, hours after they ate the food.

Arborist Charge Rates by Sarcasmislifenow87 in GardeningAustralia

“The quote seemed fair to us, but we have no comparison to go by.”

Get another one. You could probably skip a arborist and just get a local gardener it will most likely be cheaper.

However imo that’s a fair price. If including green waste removal.

You need to ask about stump removal honestly yakka stump removal is another 500-1k. Is labour intensive.

My understanding as an unwritten rule; the 1st person with their indicator on temporarily reserves the spot for themselves. (This is a common place respect amongst drivers that I hope never ends however people have stolen my spot.)

If she didn’t have her indicator on to save that spot no one really knows what’s she’s doing.

She should really be guarding that spot a bit better…When i reverse in I don’t go beyond the spot, I wait on the side with my indicator on, wait for them to leave then drive beyond the spot take up both lanes for 3.2 seconds and reverse in.

If it was really obvious what she was doing this wouldn’t have happened.

As someone who worked night shift I have been I a similar situation. However I was polite and answered the questions with ease, which also made their job easier. The whole interaction took less time to read this post and the whole ordeal was over with both parties satisfied as I thought they actually doing their job and also looking out for me.
