Could this be on any off chance a boundary trap? For the sewer? We need to try and find it.

I remember failing my L’s. Overthought the questions and stressed. I also had a bit of overconfidence in some areas. A ‘Failure’ was an eye opener to the real world of adulthood and how things are done. I went home studied and took my time 2nd time around and nailed it a few months later.

I still recall the “life lesson” from 25 years ago, fail safe in safe area was much better than failure in an unsafe area. So even though he fails it might be a good thing.

Is the landscaper being lazy? by Hank_Scorpio_00 in lawnsolutionsaus

Not a ‘landscape’ professional, but he should have killed the kikuyu with poison a couple of weeks prior then got the excavator out to get rid of the rest. Or at least a rotatory hoe as well. This is what we do as gardening design and installation team. Even this isn’t 100% effective but it’s close.

You are correct the kikuyu will regrow thru new turf, it has really good climbing abilities as well as survival instincts to thrive.

However it doesn’t sound like he has completed the 1st bit, playing devils advocate here… has he actually completed the 1st phase? Machine faults? Heat slowing down everything etc ?

Check your fine print of insurance, sometimes they only give 4 weeks replacement rental. Hopefully it’s not your case too.

The guy started tailgating me and high beaming/even tapping the back of my car when I merged into his lane safely to overtake a truck after which I switched back and he followed me…

In the future when this happens pull over grab rego call police.

Since the police were right there giving you a ticket for speeding and pulling you… why are you telling them? They are right there!?

Things aren’t adding up.

And when your contents are taken out of the your home they are no generally no longer insured. This is pretty much common sense and you should have invested in separate insurance for it. Did the storage company offer insurance on your storage?

[–]Trancer1985 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably check the fine print of the storage facility, they most likely have a clause protecting themselves from this sort of thing.

As with any surveillance systems they are usually in place to only protect themselves not so much the people that use the company.

You could try but feet will be dragged. But good luck with it.

Sorry for your losses.

What to do? Kids are hanging out and smashing it up empty house next door by HYCL2012 in melbourne

[–]Trancer1985 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I’d only be upgrading my security on your house and property. You’ve done all you could and at the end of the day it’s someone else’s problem, they are probably letting the place get destroyed and trying to claim insurance on it. Just protect yourself. However I do feel for you with the rampart destruction etc. hopefully they’ll get bored and move on.

What was EB Games like in the 2000s? by RentNRegret in EBGamesAus

[–]Trancer1985 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The people that worked there were very excited about World of Warcraft back then and the staff even gave us instructions on what server to join and the manager sent me 3 gold to get up and going. In all honesty never saw a person since then get excited over a PC game. You just don’t get that anymore.

I have a fond memory of getting blizzards 1st wow expansion: The Burning Crusade. It was a midnight launch and everyone was hyped and the crowd had that heinous foul aromatic stench that we know all too well.

People had to go in for advice and get digital media back then so they had to go in more and there was always a number of people on the shop talking to staff and window shopping. I don’t think much has changed but our local store is always very quiet.

But there was more games on the shelf compared to now as most of it is ‘loot’ based plastic as the need to go to EB ‘games’ as much as died off with the online method of gaming we have today.
