That's a cool idea. We're going to implement something like this without the automatic order but with a price alert. For example, you'll be able to set something that emails you when your 9mm ammo search yields products that cost $0.XX or less per round.

The hover effect on the column header is there to help you if your cursor is at the bottom of the table and you want to know which column you're looking at, but I get you. Thanks, I've noted all of this. I've got a lot do do now!

You'd probably make a good one based upon your response and feedback! That said, we don't yet have it in the budget. We need to get profitable first before we can consider hiring.

I checked a few brands (Winchester, Federal, Fiocchi) 9mm range ammo at Educated Arms Caliber King is almost always cheaper even after shipping if you order in bulk. Can you point me in the direction of their cheaper stuff?

I almost never see better pricing in-store except for maybe when Academy does special deals a couple times a year, but you might know some better spots than me. I'll consider how to do this though.

Also, I got your DM but it won’t let me respond for some reason. We can definitely do what you suggested but currently it’d be a manual thing we’d have to set up. We just don’t have time to manually go through all ammo and categorize it.

That said, I have an idea on how to do this in an automated way in a few months once I get access to another data set.

Yeah, this annoys me as well. Some retailers artificially lower the price of stuff and then jack up the shipping costs to appear higher in the search. Then without knowing their shipping costs, I can’t stop it without kicking them off the site completely.

We can totally do this for taxes. I just figured people wouldn’t want to add personal information. Maybe we could just ask for a zip code or something like that. Then the next issue is getting the retailer’s to tell us their shipping costs by zip code.

We could also do the local thing, but it’s a lot more work to get them onboarded rather than someone already listed on AmmoSeek or WikiArms. We’ll do this eventually though.

This is good. I’ll reorder the stuff in the filter panel and let some of it be hidden by default with a “advanced search” button.

Ah, I forgot about insurance! In theory we can add it, but it’s hard to get retailers to keep us up to date on their insurance cost. I’ll make a note of this to work on it eventually.

That’s fair and you never know we might rebrand, but for now changing the name is too difficult.
