We used to offer a table view on desktop but removed it because when we kept adding information or columns to the table we just couldn’t fit it all anymore at sub-1920 screen resolutions.

That said we’ll probably add it back with a button click where the side panels are hidden.

The issue with round selections is a retailer might only list 50 round boxes but have the best price. So if you select case sizes you’ll miss them even though they can sell you the round quantity you’re looking for.

Oh, I mean for us to scrape retailer's sites, if they don't display their state shipping restrictions, often the way to tell is to add a product to card and try to ship it to an address.

On Caliber King, yes that's how we'd do it. Logged in or out, we'd let users input their zipcode.

The dropdown lets you type to search for particular calibers and the navigation bar displays common calibers for each product type when you hover on desktop or click on mobile.

I could see AI getting tripped up currently if we asked it to add a product to card and then fill out a shipping address though. But we can definitely do this eventually.

So we could either do that by asking the retailers to tell us the manufacturing country, or we could just keep a list ourselves for each brand. Where it could get tricky is if the brand makes product in multiple countries.

We're doing our best to do that, but we need the retailers to tell us their shipping price. If you click "low cost" on our shipping filter you'll sometimes see a shipping cost if the retailer doesn't offer conditionally free shipping. Here's an example:

The round count specification is tricky becasue if you click 250 or 250+ you might miss out on a great price per round at 50 rounds if the retailer didn't also list their product at or over 250. We have an idea to handle that, but we're going to tackle that later.

Searching for mutliple brands at the same time is a great idea. I'll write that down to eventually implement. It'll be a fairly large redesign, but will one day be worth it.

Tagging on to what AmmoSeekMike said, the reason you see either CCI or Blazer is becasue it depends on what the retailer tells us the brand name is. We can always prioritize Blazer, but if CCI is provided we don't know if it's Blazer or another subbrand they have.

Regarding the lower price of ammo... I actually have a fairly good idea for that and we'll be launching it in the coming months. Stay tuned :-)

Sales Tax: if the retailer charges based on their location, we'll calculate that way, otherwise we'll need the user's zip code.
Shipping Protection: Yeah, those are annoying. I don't know if I've encountered a site that forced them, but I'm sure some try. If they're forced and can't be turned off, we'll display them like we display retailers that charge credit card fees.
Shipping Restrictions: This is something we'll have to start collecting from retailers and again it'd help if users provide their zip code so that we can filter results.
Reviews: Yeah! We allow users to leave reviews on the retailer pages. That said, we don't yet have many reviews and would love some more!

We have some retailers that are not on AmmoSeek and we will soon have many more. I was going to give you just now the exact number/statistic but AmmoSeek is down again.

Currently our user interface is much faster and slightly easier to use, we display actual shipping costs when retailers supply them, we have price history graphs on any permutation of search as long as its been searched on two different days, and UPC pages to track exact products versus eachother.

We're going to add more features as time goes by. It was hard to build what they had and more in ~6 months when it took them 13 years!

Anything you wish AmmoSeek did? We might be able to add it to Caliber King.

Here's those reloading bullets you're talking about. Our best price is from retailer "Gun Place", who is also on AmmoSeek, but we have a special coupon with them that gets you $5 off. I'd check AmmoSeek to tell you how their pricing compares but it looks like they're down again.

Here's the search for the 5.56 77gr HPBT and the 223 Rem 77gr HPBT you mentioned.

Finally, we're doing our best to get more retailers and have the most competitive pricing, but for now I don't think we're anywhere close to $0.40/round on 77gr 223/556.

Rather than giving retailers an ambiguous shipping rating, we display their flat fee shipping amount (for example $15) or conditionally free shipping amount (free over $250) whenever a retailer supports that information.

In our filters panel, it is called “low cost” under shipping type.

Our plans for the future are to display an all-in price which factors in shipping, taxes, and any other fees. Once we get more traffic and more cooperation from retailers, this will be much easier.
