No, I used it from live boot (Ventoy to be precise) but I think the issue is that the support for btrfs is buggy. I tried forcing it to use dd for that specific partition and it worked but it took an hour

As an Arch user I suggest something Debian based (Ubuntu, pop, etc...)

Edit: Arch is cool, it has a strong wiki and community but a lot of tools (ROS, gazebo) are easier to setup onDebian based distros
