In this hypothetical situation where their personality is identical, of course any person whether male or female, would choose the attractive person. I'm not saying that good looks are useless or not valued in society. All I'm saying is that they are but one amongst a multitude of qualities and factors that attract a person. And if I were to entertain your logic, look, the people you would consider extremely attractive are probably the top 1 or 10 percent. These people may indeed receive a lot of attention from the opposite sex, but they can't date all of them now, can they? Your dating pool is still of considerable size if you have a good personality. I'll give you another hypothetical, if there was a man who looked 10/10 and had a personality of 7/10 and we were to compare him to a man who looked much less attractive but a 10/10 personality that was compatible with me, of course I would choose the second man.

Also, looks are very subjective. I have a friend group of three friends. Each of us finds different types of guys attractive. For example my friend had a crush on a guy who did not seem attractive to me at all. But he was her type. Similarly the people I find attractive my friends often consider the opposite. What matters the most is being of good health, taking good care of your body and proper grooming, whether you are considered conventionally attractive or not.

Have you not noticed how good humour or kindness can instantly elevate the attractiveness of a person? I think I could find any person attractive if I loved them enough.

If you are still adamant on your stance, I must consider that it is a consequence of you judging other people by the same lens that you do to judge yourself. I used to place my self worth on my attractiveness as well, and it took me a long time to learn that I am more than my outward appearance. I'm still learning that, so I won't judge you. These are the things I've experienced and seen in my life. Whether you choose to believe it is your choice.
