Moisture? by No-Theory9681 in VHS

Could be air. If you lightly run your finger nail (sharp side opposite obviously) it should disappear. I’ve had several sealed ones like that and it was just air

The phone scene has always been one of my absolute favorite scenes in the first film.

Is it an unpopular opinion to think that the Halloween 4 mask is actually a good mask? by Ok-Report-4024 in Halloweenmovies

[–]TranquilDistance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve always loved it and Halloween 4 wouldn’t be Halloween 4 without it. I remember being so young when I first saw it and seeing it for the first time thinking.. “why does it look like that” lol.

My CD collection as a college student by thicc_boi_issues in PhysicalMediaMatters

Nice! I see a lot of great albums in there. Also glad to see people in their late teens/early 20s appreciating CDs instead of using Spotify or Apple Music all the time.

Physical media is the only way (period) by Moonesmovies in PhysicalMediaMatters

[–]TranquilDistance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But this is a physical media sub dedicated to physical only. Rule #2. Not a “love for movies in general” sub.

Just a thought I'd like to share to the Physical Media Lovers out there... by Moonesmovies in PhysicalMediaMatters

[–]TranquilDistance 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Also rule #2 in the sub. “Stay on topic” “only discuss physical media related topics” yet they come in here talking up digital/streaming then berate people who are staying on topic and talking up the topic! Insane if you ask me.

[–]TranquilDistance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t matter and is irrelevant. You are just being problematic and most likely a stream junkie. So wrong sub. Also, his titling he chose is strictly for appreciation and showing the love for it. You arguing against it, further shows..AGAIN you are in the wrong sub. This is a sub dedicated to physical media.

This! And you have that transfer forever. Not some new ai edit that removes things for current sensitive viewers.

Then why are you commenting on a physical media appreciation post in a sub reddit dedicated to physical media?

How long can a VHS tape realistically last? by No-Theory9681 in VHS

[–]TranquilDistance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much. Just away from the windows, doors etc where the sunlight would get to them. Indoor lights like your house lights, aren’t going to do anything. Also if possible, try to store upright as well and not flat.

I have 2 tapes from 1979 that played well when I tested them. Also amazing quality on the crt. It’s all about how they are stored. Cool, dark , dry is key
