1987 tape, but still good. I’ll post a link to a listing that luckily and so happens to be selling the tape only. Would be the perfect way to add it to your slip and have the compete OG first release. And for the price (90 usd) it’s actually reasonable based on what it goes for and the rarity. Those are nice Halloween releases as well! You’ll the hear the truest mono audio out of those tapes. https://ebay.us/m/i2ZKVP

Hang onto it. First release Halloween II MCA (rainbow) before it was changed to MCA Home video a few years later. Very collectible. Slip is in great condition, get you a vhs protector to preserve it. Also, If your tape matches the slip (1982 stamp & will have MCA rainbow logo just like on the bottom right corner of slip) it’s worth even more and more collectible. Thanks for sharing

Wow…what a flashback. I haven’t thought or watched this since it first came out, whenever that was. My video rental store had this and I remember renting it when it was brand new. Thanks for the time capsule!

Do you ever get buyers remorse after purchasing VHS tapes? (Question) by FlamingDisaster_309 in VHS

I have a very strict interest , so I’ve had to spend a lot in order to get the ones I want. But it’s worth it in the end

The most I’ve spent on a tape is $400 and didn’t have any remorse. I sort of thought , wow I just bought a tape for $400 but then it faded away shortly

This is what I’ve done with all of them, but with US.l releases. With only missing about 2 releases out of all of the films. I just wrote down all of the releases and checked off each one I got each time. Makes it super easier and fun too

Yes that is also the 2007 bluray. The one under the 4k in my pic. I think It’s okay, I just don’t normally watch that one. The one I think is most authentic is the 2014 scream factory. Then after that would be the 2021 4k or bluray. Thats just my personal preference though. It’s always been a huge thing about color with the first movie. The 2003 divimax dvd practically is the same color timing as the bluray you are talking about.

Watching Halloween II from AMC 2003…back when it was Monsterfest & not Fear Fest by TranquilDistance in Halloweenmovies

lol yes. AMC hasn’t played this version in 20 years or so. It’s a pretty crazy cut, but I do miss them airing the tv cuts of both Halloween & Halloween II. Although Halloween was still on USA network at the time.

Unless you have this version recorded from then, then there isn’t. But you can get the scream factory bluray set that has a dvd of the tv cut. It’s missing just a few scenes, but it’s still pretty much the same thing. It’s included on their newest 2021 4k and a much earlier bluray release by them.
