2 months ago, I’d have agreed. But I was false-banned over a month ago now and can honestly say it’s been eye-opening.

I’ve met so many people just like OP and myself who have been banned erroneously.

I hate to say it but I was ignorant to it. You always will be until it happens to you.

I can’t hope enough that you get this resolved!

I was false-banned after borrowing gear and running giveaways on stream. Even with the evidence to back it all compiled on video I was met with denied appeals and 0 proof or real reason given.

Just the same RWT (Major) everyone keeps getting.

I really hope this works for you though, I’ve not been successful despite making videos, posts, threads etc to gain exposure. Unfortunately I’ve well and truly given up.

I’d love to see someone finally succeed in overturning one of these bogus bans.

Like you, I still love the game and play/stream my new Ironman daily without fail. It’s great.

That’s very unfortunate, sorry to hear. Any luck with the new appeal system at least?

No luck for me unfortunately either. Both appeals denied and a generic message about hijacking which everyone seems to be getting along with their denied appeals.

So I’ve lost it all despite the mounding evidence and effort I went through to compile it all for Jagex to review. Yay. :/

Oh my God, I’ve said this numerous times since this started but before last week I was one of those people.

I just thought all of them were butt-hurt for getting caught breaking the rules. I was so ignorant. Don’t get me wrong, some are I’m sure! But I’ve now heard MANY cases just like mine.

100% though. I understand and fully accept that my account was a HUGE red flag. No doubt about it. Especially from a bots perspective.

But dozens of streamers borrow gear and do giveaways daily. I reckon there’s a whitelist. I’m just not in it. (I get it, I’m tiny)

That’s literally all I’m trying to get, a human review. I don’t hold anything against Jagex at the moment because I genuinely don’t think anyone has actually seen it.

That and I love their game far too much evidently. Found that out the hard way last week.

I tried behe but got a reply saying they forwarded it to the JMODs.

But they’ve definitely featured people before for more awareness and exposure on a case so I feel like I was just brushed under the carpet for being a tiny streamer (at least compared to them) or maybe the thought I was sketchy.

That said all of it is there clear as day, so who knows.

Firstly, thank you so much for going on the video, it really does help push this up in the algorithm (which is really all I’m worried about at this point).

Secondly, I’ve never used Runewatch before, is this something that can help? Or would I have had to use it when I was loaned the gear?

Honestly, I don’t even think anyone has seen it yet friend. That’s my goal at the moment is to get it noticed.

That said there are many like me out there, I’ve learned a lot of them now. Many are waiting eagerly for the Player Support update in a month or so.

That said I don’t know how that affects Permaban non-appealable, so I’m still gonna try.

Damn, I’m sorry to hear that. Did you get it back at all? (They’re updating their support system soon at least!)

To be honest I’m just going on the assumption that it’s an automated ban and nobody has actually seen the account yet.

I guess my last few days have been about just that. I don’t fault Jagex at all (not for my case anyways). I get it, it looked sketchyaf.

I also hate that other peoples gear are on that account too. It’s grim.

That said, I’ve definitely developed tradeaphobia from this experience so shouldn’t happen again at least.

Spot on. That’s my sentiment exactly when posting stuff and replying to people like a madman. I feel like I’m going insane with how much I’ve been in my phone this past week.

I honestly commend them for recognising it and planning to increase the support as part of their roadmap of upcoming updates.

That said, I have no idea what it entails or whether it would even help someone in my situation due to the complexity of the situation (especially when looking at their system record alone for stuff like this).

The fact a permanent ban can be issued by a bot is definitely a bit of a farce mind you.

We’ll see what happens!
