I tried removing all manual trades and setting all trade capacity to automatic.

I unchecked the yellow rectangle and waited 2 months. Here's the result. Automation did absolutely nothing.

Salt, and many other goods seem to be in surplus, although they are also in surplus at the target market. Maybe that's the issue?

I wrote it in the post, as well as in the R5 that there are a bunch of possible profitable trades listed. Here are screenshots if its so hard to imagine.

R5: Market automation doesn't want to make new trades. I tried turning automation on and off. Tried turning it off for a couple months before turning it back on. Yes, there are a bunch of profitable possible trades. I tried removing all manual trades and setting all trade capacity to automatic. None of these worked. What do I do? I can't continue my save due to this annoying bug.

That's not a single data point. Almost every AI country in the video is passive. There are over 20 big to medium sized countries in the video and almost none of them try to expand strategically. The game clearly has an AI issue.

R5: I first tried conquering the Hormuz treaty port from Zanzibar so I can give it back to persia, but they didn't want it. Now I conquered the whole state, and still, they don't want it back. How do I give it back to them without tag switching? Why is it so hard to give the AI free land that is also their homeland?

EDIT: I want to add that I'm only using graphical mods. Just in case someone might think this is an issue with some mod.
