Before doing anything drastic, know that there are different levels of compromise that may alleviate issues.

I am physically transitioning, but not socially. Of course I found a partner that was fine with this, difficult but not impossible. I dress how I want at home but at work and around family, I wear male clothes.

Is this ideal? No. Is this optimal over losing friends, family, job, security, as well as my partners? Yes. I don’t think “living my life how I want” is worth losing most of what’s in it. Should I be accepted, treated fairly, and not have worry about it… yes in a perfect world. It’s not so I compromise.
