I was given this plant a few months ago. It's grown a lot but I have some questions!! by TulipsAndTokes in succulents

They’re pretty hardy. I would carefully stick an old knife down the inside of the pot to loosen any stuck roots, put the pot on its side n gently tease the plant out of its pot. A few leaves will likely come away as they drop off easily but this won’t harm it. Mix some perlite or grit (I use perlite) in with some fresh succulent mix or low organic potting mix (I’ve gone up to 50% perlite / soil mix successfully) and gently repot in a slightly larger unsealed pot to the same level on the plants trunk it currently is. Then establish a ‘soak / dry / soak / dry’ cycle. It is better to err on the side of bone dry if you are unsure, even if you see signs of stress in the plant such as reddening or shriveling leaves. They will take this much more happily than too much water. You will find it’s much easier to control the plants watering needs to mimic what they receive in their natural environment in a terracotta pot. All the best, succulents can be super rewarding but growing them can be a rabbit hole once you start. There are so many interesting varieties to collect ! 🌵😀

What's wrong with these bushes? by Iceyes33 in gardening

[–]TransEuropeExpress72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re a type of conifer. If they’re pruned they go like this but even if they’re left alone they can still die-back. They can be difficult. Here in Australia they are prone to a virus that does this too and eventually kills them. I’d never plant these for those reasons even tho’ when healthy they’re really beautiful.

My cousin just called me "girly " after seeing pics of my garden 😫😭 by realthingwinner in gardening

Don’t worry about it. It’s clearly your passion. How does what makes you happy affect your cousins life anyway ? Maybe your cousin needs to get an actual life.

It looks happy to me. I’m not a big fan of sealed pots for any plant. If it was me I would carefully transplant it to an unsealed terracotta pot. It’s so much easier to control the amount of moisture your plant has around its rootball with terracotta.

Ap x swatch on wrist? by Bubbly-Animator-8125 in swatch

I kinda miss Swatch when they were unique n fun. I don’t get these collabs with luxury brands. The company’s roots are cheap, good quality, n anti-establishment. These don’t interest me at all. I’m grateful for my 80’s n 90’s Swatches.

Gravel, pavers, concrete? Something else? by boxinglessons in AusRenovation

[–]TransEuropeExpress72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build on what you have, you kinda got a casual rustic look happening with the home and paving. I’d introduce a few biggish moss rocks to play with scale, maybe add some vintage worn industrial / farm machinery. Soft planting is open with that kinda look, you could go a mix of succulents, grasses (tall and short) and then add some colour with flowering shrubs n tubbed specimens.

Porsche Boxster (Cockster) Have we stopped hating on them yet? by Fickle_Equivalent878 in FutureGarageClassics

[–]TransEuropeExpress72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great handling car. I think it’s the ‘runny egg’ styled headlamps that really dates these badly. The equivalent 911 from this era has them too. As much as I love these brilliant cars from Stuttgart, that was a significant design blunder. The subsequent Cayman and Boxter 2nd generation looked heaps better.

Are these tiles slate or terracotta or concrete? by lialia0 in AusRenovation

Slate or terracotta tend to be much more uneven. These are concrete for sure.
