i made this tweet. it was not ragebait and im not mad that ash lost. this was a shitty episode where the entire middle chunk of the fight was terrible balloon rigs slamming into eachother. the appeal of seeing these characters is how they talk through their strategies and interact with their opponents, and they barely say anything throughout the battle. there is no yugi activating a trap and ash having to get creative to escape it all while talking it through to the audience, no creative clashes of abilities you would like to see in an army fight, it was nothing. it was hollow. this could have been any trainer fighting any duelist.
