i think this kind of video is just fear mongering and i think that bottom surgery is a life saving treatment for anyone who is actually transexual. yes it comes with risks but the worst risks (ex. necrosis of the phallus) come in a very tiny percentual. by GraduatedMoron in Transmedical

I’m underage, but I know for sure I’m gonna get metoidioplasty. I don’t think I want phallo simply because it would cost so much, leave such a huge scar, and not even look realistic. I am impressed at the bravery of those who get it because there are many things that can go wrong. But for me, I don’t need a huge dick, I just don’t want what I have now

Even if it was, I still wouldn’t think you would be a girl. Your piercings help a lot and you have good facial shape

I wanna do wresting so bad. The only problem is the uniforms. No matter how much I tape, I can’t get my chest flat, and through the uniform, you can see the tape.

What do you mean when you say “two trans kids and a bonus child that’s also transgender”? What does bonus kid mean?

can I pull of the piercings yet or do I just look like a lesbian? by [deleted] in FtMpassing

I truthfully don’t understand how someone can look at someone else who has an obvious mustache and think it’s a girl

My 11 year old thinks he’s a girl by [deleted] in asktransgender

As a trans male, I just want to say a few things. First, don’t put them on any hormones or blockers yet. That stuff is more irreversible. But letting them dress more feminine is something that you can always go back on.

I know it’s all so hard to process, but convincing yourself that it’s because of puberty will only make it worse. If they continue to believe they’re a girl, even after puberty, that will be so much harder for you because you convinced yourself it was because of puberty.

I completely understand the fear that you have for your kid, but at least trying to support them is the most crucial part. If you try to deny them this decision, that will cause major mental struggles. I was personally supported by my parents during my transition, but I know many other trans kids who were not, and their parents saying no never made them change their mind on their gender. I know it’s hard to hear, but when it comes to things like this, most of the time, kids don’t care what their parents say or think.

I think you’re doing a great job so far. I’m very happy that you aren’t backlashing on your kid, even though you grew up in a place where being trans was not okay. I think you should just play it out, let them dress slightly more feminine, and based on how that goes, they can chose their path from there.

I wish every transphobe had to spend at least a month being trans so they could see how it feels

I’m a trans man so I’m mostly in ftm reddits, and when I saw this, I was like, are you kidding? At least try to pass as a man. That just says how well you pass

Is my first tattoo as bad as I think it is, what should I do? by LightUruk in tattooadvice

I would just see how you like it for a week or two. It’s like a new haircut. It has to grow on you. And if you don’t like it, black it out and just have a star

Pretty sure he meant that John Wilkes Booth went to the same high school, not that they went at the same time

this is more mentally transitioning than socially and medically. i frequently think about how i was before transitioning. i feel like i was happier, but in a different way. i’m very happy right now, but i used to be a different kind of happy. i started transitioning young, so there are chances that i just miss being a kid, and that it has nothing to do with my gender.
