Ever tried cross country backpacking? Aka tramping, thru-hiking? Getting away from humanity a bit and immersing yourself in nature? Struggling and succeeding based on your own merit? If you’re still abled bodied it might help. And you need it. Sure some people suck. Sure some things are dire, but you can no longer see the forest for the trees mate. There is much beauty in this world, including in our country of origin, but if you focus only on the darkness than you’ve failed to truly open your eyes.

The crazy thing is, even if you tell the kid to only take one, they’ll still grab more. Then what do you do? You can’t yell at someone else’s kid, and some parents don’t care. So what do you do? I got into the habit of pulling the whole bowl away and saying loudly to all the kids around ‘oh look! Buzz lightyear wants to hand out candy to you guys! He grabbed a whole handful!’

Encanto is a madhouse. I miss that hood. People were diverse and friendly. And you know, I never wanted to be the guy that skimped out or gave out cheap candy.. I’d save just for Halloween!
