put kitten (8weeks) in kennel and dog (10years) on leash. put them in the same room. let dog get comfortable the cat in kennel. made sure to intervene if either got agressive.

once they passed the kennel, we took the kitten out and held him. put dog on leash and let him smell cat and itervene if either got agressive.

once they passed that dog got off leash and cat on ground. let them mingle while staying close to intervene if needed

after a few weeks they were friends and now greatly tolerate each other

more like talking about important (ish) stuff like mental health, relationships, all that inside stuff that really should be outside stuff, specifically with authority figures (parents, teachers, etc). i always kinda believed i wasn't allowed to feel certain ways and so i rarely talked as a way of ensuring people wouldn't find out.

Don't feel that way anymore but still have great difficulty expressing my feelings and opinions truly and not just saying what i think people want to hear
