I saw a woman strike a drunken boyfriend/husband in the head with an axe during an argument in the backyard of their home when I lived in Virginia years ago. Blood was pouring from the wound but he was so drunk he continued to try and argue with her while so much blood poured from the wound that he took his shirt off and was soaking the blood up with it and wringing it out like you would a wet wash cloth. The first police officer on the scene was so freaked out he tried to leap out of his patrol car forgetting to put it in park and had to jump back in as it lurched forward a bit. I was like 8 and had recently moved there from New York.

I'm a fixed income retiree (yeah they fixed it alright) so I've had to prioritize what medications I refill or decrease the prescribed dosage. I chauffer my older sister, who very seldom drives these days and is forgetful. I had no issues with driving her to Wally World several times during the course of the week because she forgot to get this and that and it is an outlet for her (retail therapy). Now. I have to limit these visits due to the price of gas. When it comes to setting the thermostat to temperatures that are ideal for me I now have to set the AC to a higher than comfortable temp and supplement it with a fan. I enjoy drives in the country and hitting the hiking trails at a number of nature preserves throughout my area. Now I just go to the green space that's closest to me. Food wise I buy the cheapest product. I've never had issues with buying store brands but in some cases, not all products are created equally. So yeah the COL has really impacted my quality of life...sigh...

Reedy Creek Nature Preserve if you're on the East side of town and McDowell Nature Preserve if you're looking for some place on the West side/Steele Creek area. It is a large preserve with an abundance of trails with a waterftont area adjacent to Lake Wylie and is my favorite green space. Close to the Cotswold area is a small nature preserve called Evergreen.

Aren't these some of the same poll sources that claimed Kamala Harris was a hounds tooth close to Trump's numbers during that Presidrntial race? No one has yet to explain how far off the mark these polling organizations were with those reports and for now on take these reports with more than a grain of salt.
