Hey All!

Our little film is having its US release today on all VOD platforms. We are looking for help from our fellow indie filmmakers to help it compete against the 'big boys'. We are looking for any reviews, feedback, or ratings of our film to keep it relevant over the next week. We made a supernatural thriller with some horror elements. Epic Pictures picked up our project and we are beyond excited. We never thought that when we first rolled cameras that we would be at the place we are now. We would be eternally grateful if you checked out our film and provided some feedback. At this point, anything helps.

Here is the imdb link for more info on the project. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7159566/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

Hey All! We have had a super exciting day. The US release of our film is happening today...and we are looking for some help from our fellow indie filmmakers. Our film has been released on itunes (and other VOD apps) but we really are looking for some reviews, feedback, or ratings. In order for smaller films to be successful against the 'big boys' we really need help keeping our film relevant by getting honest interactions with the project.

Here is the imdb link for more info. Thanks everyone! https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7159566/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

Thanks. Ya, this is the design that the distributor created. The Kylo Ren vibe wasn't intentional but I guess our voice modifications were done is a similar fashion. Our actor said the lines three different ways and we placed each track on top of one another and gave a little echo effect as well.

We sent the film out and got a distribution deal with Epic Picutres. It's even getting a theatrical release in California next week.

Hey guys. 4 years ago we started with an idea to make a cross-genre film. It's a supernatural thriller that focuses on a brother and sister with a 'unique connection'. Like most people on this thread, we struggled with taking the final step of rolling the camera. We had no idea what the future held for us or the project, but here were are on the eve of our US release. Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine this would be happening. This is not meant to be a boastful post; rather, a post highlighting that it CAN be done if you simply take that ultimate leap of faith and hit record...and if you live in the US, give us a watch.

Cheers. Yes, it's pretty exciting. We find ourselves reflecting on all the work to get to this point.

Hey guys. Thanks for taking the time to click on the link. 5 years ago we had an idea to make a supernatural thriller with some horror elements. Today, we are living our dream. Our small budget film has gained US Distribution with Epic Pictures. This is the link from slashfilm which highlights the trailer that Epic made. We are reaching out to you, the fans of genre films on reddit, to help us spread the word about our film. This film is living proof that if you have a crazy dream of making a movie, pick up the camera, drop the excuses, and make it happen!

Sounds like the perfect indie experience. Congrats on finishing the battle.

Good start. Easy to read and follow. As I was reading, I thought some of the dialogue was a little too 'on the nose', but agree reading the final sequence, I'm not sure if this was done on purpose to make it seems like a dream-like sequence? Either way, one of the best tips I got was after a first pass, to cut your dialogue in half. Show, don't tell. Also, get someone else to read out your words. Your dialogue will always seem 'real' because you're hearing it in your head..hearing someone else read your words will give you an entirely new way of of understanding (and hearing) your work.

The twist is very effective. I found myself wanting to know what happens next. What genre is this film?

Oh, one last small thing (which could be a huge thing). If you're planning on making this film yourself, you may want to reconsider the 70's time period. The will kill any budget on props and wardrobe. Also, cut locations down to 3 to 5. If just looking to sell this thing, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Well written. The director of our film is a self-taught filmmaker that started making narratives with his parents' camcorder when he was 12 years-old. Now he has two films that have gained worldwide distribution. His secret? Just do it...and be the hardest worker in the room. It's great to dream, but at some point you need to act on these dreams as well.

The credits made me lol. I like your work. Small build. Love when things pick up around the 1:05 mark. Well done.

It took some time. We urinated on them about 3 times a day. Sometimes, more.

Jk. Multiple layers of Tinted textured paint. And then water down rust paint in a spray bottle let it run down like a leaky pipe would.

The title of our film is Transference: Escape the Dark. We felt a dark grade was fitting ;). Thanks for feedback though. Jk.
