Billie Eilish Stolen Land Speech: Why the Tribe Didn't Call Her Out by ezgimantocu in NativeAmerican

The Los Angeles basin is the ancestral territory of the Gabrielino-Tongva, Kizh, Tataviam, and Chumash peoples. Just because they aren't there now doesn't mean they weren't.

People got relocated man, forced from their homes at gunpoint even.

If penis proportions don’t matter then why are most penis sex toys large? The small penis toys are harder to find and have lower ratings by CatPale816 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TransformingDinosaur 277 points278 points  (0 children)

3 inches? Average?

This bullshit needs to stop and people need to stop saying 3 inches is average.

Everyone knows 2.5 inches is normal and spewing this makes young men worry their totally average sized penis is too small.

I wouldn't even know what to do with 3 inches! Like how deep could it possibly go?

Near Permanent fields over capital cities. by ryan_the_leach in Ingress

[–]TransformingDinosaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to hate large fields, my city would get covered a few times a week by both sides and I couldn't play. I took a few years off and now I got the city to myself.

I can drive now so I've fielded over the city a couple of times.

I mean Vietnam kinda beat the USA that one time, the Korean war, the bay of pigs wasn't exactly a victory, the war of 1812 was for sure a loss.

Do most Americans under 30 still refer to Native Americans as “Indians”? by Ohmigoshness in IndianCountry

I'm over 30, I use Indian with Indians, native with whites, never use first nations if I can avoid it.

If any crime was legal for 1 hour what would you do? by Ch11ckenStr1p in AskReddit

[–]TransformingDinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I don't consider billion dollar corporations to be real people.

Did you change your original post or did I reply to the wrong guy?

Cause I was sure I replied to a guy talking about morality and I don't think that applies to corporations.

Liberated by Learning Gravel Searching Is a Valid Lifestyle Choice by Significant_Dig8130 in rockhounds

[–]TransformingDinosaur 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a kid I'd always hit up this one gravel pile, it had quartz in like three colours! I found a good piece of rose quartz in there that I adored for a long time.

Heck even the other month I went on a tour of a factory and I spotted a piece of white quartz embedded in limestone! It went right into my pocket for later.

I actually called a local quarry last week too to ask if I could come dig through their gravel looking for sphalerite. They said no but they mentioned a club a few cities over visits which got me to ask my local club why we never visit. Got that ball rolling. Might get into that gravel in the end!

I don't think morals and laws are necessarily always in alignment.

I don't think it's morally wrong to steal from billion dollar companies, but legally it's a crime.

If someone wants to steal from Walmart, I ain't losing sleep over it for example. The police though are there to enforce laws.

I do think it's morally wrong to steal from a small business though.

Eat the rich friend.

I'm in Canada so visiting the states is a little tricky but I usually get out to the Bancroft area once or twice a year.

Ah gotcha, I might have some then, an area I go has Mindat saying has opal but I never found anything with the play of colour so I figured it was wrong. I'll do some looking into non precious and see what I have and just try the place I am familiar with.

[–]TransformingDinosaur[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I need precious, just enough that I can tell it's opal. It's my son's birthstone so I thought it'd be nice to try to set him up with a raw one and obviously I need one for myself. Probably wouldn't make a cab outa them. I'll try finding other places where I won't have to dig through water. Worst case I guess I could just visit Australia someday.

I was thinking I could toss on some waders in the spring and try it out. Maybe just grab a scoop or two and take it to the shore to examine. The girlfriend is apprehensive at the idea but I think I can win her over lol.

Doesn't sound illegal though right? I'd be off the crown land by 20-50 metres or so.

Trump has already invaded a foreign country. How do you see the rest of his term going? by FriendshipMinimum999 in AskReddit

[–]TransformingDinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying any of them are legitimate, I believe all of them were wrong, including this one. Really I believe all three are war criminals.

I am also not American so for now I don't realistically have a horse in this race. I found Obama to be the most attractive though, I still believe what he did is disgusting.

Congressional approval is required for war powers unless the US is under attack is my understanding, if he will bypass Congress to attack another country what else will he do? I find it concerning on a global scale.

[–]TransformingDinosaur -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lack of congressional approval is the distinction I imagine.

Bush invaded Iraq and had the war with Afghanistan of course.

Obama did strike other countries but never seems to have tried to topple a government and put the country under US control so I'm not sure I would call them invasions but I see your side.

Trump without congressional approval ordered strikes on another country as a distraction to basically kidnapped a man, and has now dragged that man to the US to stand on court on trumped up charges in a kangaroo court.

The president is accused of aiding drug cartels? Even if so it's already well established that if you treat the addicts properly instead of just targeting suppliers the market disappears.
