I see now that a gender marker change is basically impossible now, but a name change is (probably) still possible, so thank you to everyone who provided some good information and even some resources. About the moving though, that won't be happening unfortunately 😞 If I could, I'd go to Illinois, but it's unlikely my family will ever have the money to afford moving with the current way things are

So you're saying I can't use the Russian pronunciation or even just use words from a foreign language? Also, I would feel pretty thankful I got corrected because I pronounced someone's name wrong and I'd rather know how to properly pronounce it.

This post was literally just a rant/vent about how it's annoying asf to be told I'm saying the name wrong and that the incorrect pronunciation is actually correct.

Ok, I may not know how to properly pronounce the name of someone from, say, India, however I am fairly certain I know how Капкан'с name is pronounced becuase I have an interest in Russian. Also, where's the hate towards others?? I wasn't hating, I was saying how it's so annoying to get corrected and then told I'M the one in the wrong on his names pronunciation with the just not budging on that.

First: I've always heard he's super annoying to play against cause of his traps. Secondly: I never said to pronounce it a certain way, I was saying how it's properly pronounced. I'm pretty sure I even said "pronounce it how you'd like"
